Do soul mates exist?

I have always been a hopeless romantic, but since having my heart broken repeatedly, and more from just one person, I'm beginning to be believe that not everyone is meant to have true love.
My wonderful son being the byproduct of my last and most severe heartbrake, I do understand true love in that sense. My son is my heart, and I have to protect my heart! I was meant to be his mother, but I don't believe anymore that I am meant to be IN love.
I've given up, maybe I should have never believed in it to begin with.
I believe after a certain point of being betrayed, lied to, and broken, a person tends to give up on that romantic love. I do believe it exists, I have seen it. Is it meant for me?
Maybe I was just meant to be a mother, and that is THE most important thing to me. I still have that desire to be seen as a woman, lover, and best friend.
That kind of love that exists in movies.I guess it doesn't exist for all.
Wish it did for me.

i have had relationships too..but there was this one guy that i really loved. i loved him so much to the highest level..i was so happy with him...but something went wrong, we broke up coz he was cheating,,..it was so painful..after that, i kept on praying that someday, i would finally found someone who would love me as i am the way i wanna be love and who would not want to hurt me or make me cry, the one who will love me forever, who would not leave me, who will love my past, present and future...and you know what, i found one. though not a man or a lover, but a BEST FRIEND!

hey! may be u haven't found that someone special yet may be u never will but don't compare urself to the movies as they are just made up stuff. in reality, couples do undergo a lot of problems. but other people might not know their pains.
so see it this way, may be u are given full freedom to enjoy ur life and love urself and pamper urself more than anything. may be having a boyfriend would make things worst for u. all i am saying is, be positive and u will never feel bad for anything in life! :)

I feel so pity for you. Maybe same with me here. If this relationship I am now won't work, I don't have any feeling of strength to move again. Right now, I'm on the rocks and I'm feeling the pain every day that passes by.
