Jesse Eisenberg vs Michael Cera

I just saw Zombieland last night, and Jessie Eisenberg plays the awkward main character. I feel as though Eisenberg and Michael Cera are interchangeable, as actors. They have a similar appearance, and have similar mannerisms. They are both geeky...and not too smooth with the girls (even though they both get their dream girls in all of the movies they are in). Any thoughts on this?

Didn't saw Zombieland yet, but I want and will. So I can tell you yet if he is better than Cera.
But I have to say that the work of Cera in Superbad is so funny! haha
When I see Zombieland I'll give you a better answer.

Definitely add Zombieland to your list of movies to see. It is a pretty funny movie...especially the part with a special celebrity guest that I won't mention here, so that I don't ruin a funny part of the movie for you. I doubt that you would regret watching this movie.

It's funny because when I was writing a movie review of Zombieland, great movie, I mentioned that Eisenberg and Cera were interchangable. They do play such similar characters but then they also bring something unique to their performances. Cera in "Juno" was great and I couldn't see Eisenberg playing the role as well as Cera did. But like wise I couldn't see Cera doing a better job that Eisenberg in Zombieland. It's hard to put my finger on it but they both have their unique qualities which they bring to their performances.
As for which I prefer, Eisenberg wins for me as I often find Cera's geeks just a little bit too weak.

I agree! I find Cera to be a little too awkward. I cringed a lot while watching Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist...Eisenberg seems a little more self-sufficient. After all, he managed to survive the zombie apocalypse haha.

Yes, Zombieland is really funny! I feel like Jesse and Michael are very similar though...Michael has just been in more movies.
