i also kinda think that mylot sort of improves our english some. in a way it teaches us many things that we have not known before. but i think mostly that if you are not english i think it will greatly improve it pretty quickly.

Yes, I do agree with you! I have improved my own diction and vocabulary from mylot and I have learnt a lot of new words that come in handy for me! Well, there are a lot of discussions with the same title! Well, there are multi-national people here in this site and all get a chance to improve their English , even the westerners!

Yeah, it allows me to use English consistently so that I would not lose familiarity with the language and I can continue to express myself well in English. It's good way of interacting and sharing opinions and information in mylot as well.

Yes, I couldn't agree more. Mylot helps to enhance my english skills.. it helps me to think and share my opinions with other mylotters... it's okay to commit mistakes at times but make sure to correct them next time... there are many english native speakers here and i must admit that there are times that i am hesitant to express myself... however, i realized that i shouldn't be afraid of anything particularly sharing my thoughts and ideas...

All I have to say is, beware of the misspellings and bad grammar on here. I'm sorry, but the English geek in me is very easily riled up at the sight of horrid spelling from native English speakers. Have some pride in your language, folks, please.

yes our english communication skill will improved here. because we are here to participate on some discussions in english. thats why i love this site.

It takes practice to perfect english and mylot gives us the opportunity to practice our english. While I am happy with the amount of english usage I've done here in mylot I still need improvement. But it does improved my english although not that much. Some bad influences keep it down. XD

I agree with you. Constant practice, like responding to topics/discussions will definitely help improve your English construction. To assist you further, only watch English shows and movies then practice mouthing the words so that eventually you'll get used to the language.

Yes it does. And it offers a whole lot more. I discover a lot of things through mylot as well. It would be perfect though if someone gets to correct some of the grammatical errors. But it would even more be perfect if users don't get offended when somebody does get the courage to tell us if we are wrong.

Hi! I agree! As the saying goes, practice makes perfect!Here, to post or respond to discussions, we need to convert our thoughts to English language, to be of course generally understood. And eventually, we just don't notice it, we are getting used to download our thoughts in English already. It would just come naturally!

I feel the same way. Today people use English like a second language it's so important for communication, business, education etc. English is not my mother language but I really love it. It help me to communication with people in the other country that sound amazing. My lot can help everyone who wants to improve your English then you can make friend at the same time.

Yes i accept it.I am from India and we use English only for official purpose.by speaking or using english we can master it very easily.For me mylot is the right place to express my ideas with out any hesitation.After joining this site i improved my communication skill a lot.

I think it can. It definitly has improved my typing speed, although I have a laptop. I'm unemployed right now, but once a month, I get an assignment to work at a company. They have desktop and those when I go there, I can't type quite as good as I can on this laptop. I think that MyLot has alot of benefits, like being able to vent and get people's true opinions.

hi pratheep87, I do believe that mylot contributes to our English knowledge. It expands our vocabulary especially if someone is very fond of reading different discussions.When we are always using English, we become trained on it and it won't be hard for us to communicate with it.So when someone is asking me what do I get on mylot,I said I get not only earnings but also information and knowledge as well.

well, am an english as a second language speaker myself, had been an english teacher here in the philippines and i write in triond.com plus i was a psychology graduate. these circumstance made me come up with the observation that freedom in speaking and even writing in another language can give one the confidence to express one's self thus have the thought that one is getting good at that other language. however, improving one's english usually stops the moment one stops schooling. texts from books are not around anymore and these are the ones that can unconsciously guide us in combinations and sometimes elimination of redundant words. sometimes, no offense, people say speaking in the english language whereas it can simply be said speaking in english. we all speak languages so the word language can be eliminated in the above sentence i just mentioned. peace .
