After the away loss of Inter Milan to AS Roma, the gap between the first and second spots in Serie A has narrowed down to only one point. An awesome performance by AS Roma led by De Rossi has brought Inter down. It has really made the contest for the top spot in Serie A quite interesting.

Hi abhishek, It is really interesting to see the competition for the title in most of the major European league. In England, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have a chance to win the title. In Bundesliga, it is between Schelke 04, Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen. In Ligue 1, the title still open to six teams, Girondins Bordeaux, Montpellier, Auxerre,Olympique Lyon, Olympique Marseille and Lille. Only five points separated this teams. And in Italy, it would be the defending champion, Inter Milan, AS Roma and AC Milan. Inter Milan still lead the table by one point from AS Roma and four points from AC Milan. But AC Milan has one game in hand compare to both teams above them. It would be interesting to see where is Jose Mourinho priority at these moment. The lead the Serie A table which they already won for the past three years or to the competition that they never won before, Champion League. Even though Inter Milan has a big squad but they did not have depth coverage if any of their star player get injured. And these players can not play two games a week continuously because of their ages. Their performance in Serie A also did not consistence and always fail to get full points when they should get it before. They can perform in a game but fall apart on the next game. AS Roma on the other hand have a very good track records recently. Won against Inter Milan yesterday keep them undefeated for 21 consecutive league games. Since the new year, they collected 34 points out of possible 42 points. The return of Francesco Totti make this team more stronger in attack. Even though AC Milan has a chance to lift the title this year but their chance become thin and thinner after each game. They can not take a full advantage of Inter Milan inconsistency by doing the same thing. Their current squads do not seen can finish the season strongly. They were depend to much on their evergreen players to deliver. And these player can not play week in week out. For me, this season title would be between Inter Milan and AS Roma. And if Inter Milan can progress to Champion League final then AS Roma would have greater chance to lift the trophy that they last won it in 2000/01 season.
