do you ever think of discussions to post when you lay in bed?

I was laying in the bed last night and I thought of some discussions to start for the next day. has that happened with anyone else? it is just interesting to me some of the things that go on in our minds right before we go to sleep and since I was on here a lot yesterday this was something that I was thinking of before I went to sleep. so to start off my new day I put this before everyone else is this something that happens with anyone else of a regular basis when you are on here quite often?

once i lay in bed it means that im already tired thinking and so all i want is to go ahead and sleep. i cant just be affected with the topic to post even if im about to sleep nor doing something as it makes me feel paranoid already.

yeah I can understand that sometimes it is just best to try to go to sleep when you get to that point as we are sometimes done thinking for the day when we get to that point of the day.

Yes, often. But then, as i am too lazy to get out of bed to jot it down, it will be gone by morning. TATA.

well at least this time I was thinking enough at that time to type down my thoughts so I had something to start on for the next day as I will sometimes think of a few things right before sleep and like most everyone forget them by the time I get up the next day so at least that way I had a reminder of what I was thinking at that time. thanks for your comments.

I often think of things to post when I'm about to sleep. I know I should keep a pad and pen by the bed as I often get some really good ideas then, but tend to forget them later on.

It does seem to happen that way for a lot of us that is why it is usually better to write something down and at the least you will have an idea to start with for the next day and then you can decide then if you still think if it was a good idea or not since some of us are pretty sleepy at that time and maybe not thinking as clearly as we normally do.

I do it all the time. I keep a notebook, pen and a little light by the bed and sometimes when I can't sleep I find myself thinking up dozens of discussion topics. Sometimes they just flow like water. I do have to write them down right away or I forget them by morning. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I will write them down to if I have more then one that I am thinking of so it is a good thing that I keep my computer close by and am able to write something down on it if I feel the need.

Yes I am like that, think of some discussion to satrt for the next day, and it usually brings into my dreams as well. So the next day my memory still nice and fresh and I know exactly what I wanted to do when I woke up.

I don't think I have ever dreamed about a discussion, but if that is what you did and what works for you then that is great and we all need to do what works the best for us as individuals.

This happens to me too sometimes. I lay in bed and something pops to mind. Unfortunately, when it does happen, they come to my mind at the worst possible times. When the computer is already off and it is like about 2 or 3 in the morning. Therefore, I try to roll over and go to sleep, hoping that the discussion still sounds like something that I would like to post in the morning. At times, it does happen. I am ready to post it in the morning. Other times, the discussion does not sound as good as it was in my sleep addled state. Then there are many times where I get up and try to post, but I do not know exactly how to phrase the idea that I thought up at that odd hour. There are many discussions that have been left in the dust that sounded good in the middle of the night, but not so good when I got up in the morning. Still there were a few that survived. Inspiration can come from anywhere, any time, whether it is convenient or not.

Yes i will agree with you some ideas seem better when we are sleepy then what they look like in the morning and then you look at it and go what was I thinking. You never know what will inspire you and what time it will be when inspiration will strike you I know that I will think of things at some interesting times and places and some are better then others as far as the ideas go. As for the ones I had all 3 made it into the discussions and were decently received so I must have been thinking decently clearly at the time that I thought of them.

Sometimes when I am laying in bed something comes to mind that I could discuss here but that does not happen very often. Sometimes I may dream about something and wake up later and may use that for a topic, if it hasn't already been posted. I think a lot of us have things on our mind before going to bed so people may come up with some good topics. Maybe I will think of something to discuss when I go to bed this evening. :-)

yeah it is hard to come up with something on here that has not already been thought of but that is part of the challenge. when I was sitting there just before the time as I was ready to go to sleep seeing as it was 3 different topics that I thought of I felt that it would be best to make a note of them just so I had a reminder of what I was thinking by the time the morning came and then I would put them on then and that I was able to do this morning. It is funny the things that will come across our minds before we go to sleep as long as we are not thinking about the things that might keep us up at night and are thinking of more fun things like being on here it is all good.

When I first started I would think up posts everywhere! the worse place? In the shower. I need to write things down so I can remember them. But How can I write anything down in a shower?

it used to be I wouldn't think about the site much, but now that I am much more active on the site and doing more on the site then I think about things offline more then I used to. yes I would agree the shower would be a very difficult place to right something down lol.

I've tried to think of discussions I'd like to post the next day, but I always get so many ideas, that they chase away my sleep. Later I have a problem with falling asleep because there are so many thoughts in my head. Now I try to avoid thinking hard before falling asleep as it may cause trouble and I won't be able to fall asleep right away.

I think it helps me that I was pretty tired when I went in there to go to sleep last night so this idea was pretty much the last clear thought I had before turning out the lights in my mind and going to sleep. I notice that when I am tired it really doesn't seem to matter as much and since I changed my sleeping pattern I have had no troubles falling asleep, but you are probably right it probably is not a good idea to think too much before we go to sleep.

Hi tim, I did one time think of a what discussion should I start here in mylot before I go to sleep. I want to share something interesting and I don't want to spam mylot for this is a great site. I think I'm having the "mylot addiction"

it is pretty easy to start thinking of stuff that you'd like to talk about when you are on here and I do some of my thinking right before sleep so it is and easy thing to do when you were just on here. I don't think I am addicted to the site, but it is a part of my daily online routine and that being said I am on here quite a bit more then I used to be.

Well, this is what am thinking now and got your discussion, somthing like a telepathy. Yesterday night, i thought of two discussions which i wanna start and get answers. But today morning i totally forgot what it is, am still not getting the topics which i wanted to put badly. Well let me think!!

yeah that is what I did not what to have happen with me and since I had thought of 3 different topics I figured I better write them down somewhere and since I would be on the computer when I needed them and it was right there that seem to be the best place so that I would have them for later when I needed them.

I do this all the time too. No matter what project I am spending time on I always end up coming up with some great ideas when I get into bed. There have even been a coupple of occassions where I have gotten up, grabbed my notebook and scribbled down notes until the wee hours of the morning.

yes I always think it is best if I have an idea that I write it down, especially if it is something right before I am going to sleep, because if not I will probably forget about it by morning.

This is very funny, but it is exactly what i use to do sometimes. Not only for posting in mylot, but also for facebook status or other community. Sometimes even for articles and things to be posted on the blog. It is the best time to think for me when i go to bed at night. I hope people will feel the same because our minds function when we take rest. This happen when i am interested in posting things in the net. But when i play football, the game use to be there in my mind the whole night, it can even makes me sleepless if there is an important match the next day. I guess i am normal, because i don't want people to think me abnormal.

yes it can be kind of strange when a thought will get into our minds, especially if it is right before we are going to bed and some say thinking too much before we go to sleep can make it harder to relax to go to sleep, but I surely didn't have that problem last night I had my little thought wrote it down and then the lights went out. It is usually a good idea to give the idea a second look in the morning just to make sure we still think the idea is as good as what we thought right before going to sleep.

It seems many ideas come when lying in bed and are forgotten the next morning. A couple of times I actually got out of bed to start a discussion or jot down an idea, but for the most part, I tend to sleep on it and then forget about it.

that is very understandable that will happen to a lot of us, since I have the computer in my room with me now when I am sleeping a luxury that I didn't have before it makes it a little more easy to write down an idea before I go to sleep and in that way I give myself a little reminder for the next morning.

Happened to me a lot of times and thought I had the perfect discussion just before going to sleep and ( don't laugh) but equal number of times I have forgotten the next day what I had thought of- so back to square one!!

yeah i can understand that, but thankfully for me I was still thinking at that moment and since the computer was on, because I was listening to some music I just quickly typed down the ideas that I had on the notepad that the laptop has so that I wouldn't forget them later.

Nope, I have never thought about posting a discussion while laying in bed :) I mostly think of some interesting discussions, while i am at the university among my friends, and while we are talking about something, then I like to figure out something interesting from the conversation we have and post it here on MyLot

it is nice when we can be doing other things and that will give us an idea about something we can talk about on here that has happened with me a few times that I will be other places doing other things and my mind will think of things that are something that would make a decent discussion on here.

Sometimes, but by morning it's forgotten. Some ideas come while I'm reading post. It may not even be related to what I'm reading or responding. Then I forget it again. It's quite frustrating to me. I may have some great ideas of discussions but can't remember them long enough to post them. *sigh*

yes my good friend I know what you are saying there and what you are feeling and to avoid that happening to me and since my computer is right there by me anyway I just popped on my glasses, because I can't see too well when its that dark except for the computer light and type in my thoughts real quick thus avoiding having to try to remember what I was thinking when the morning comes a calling.
