Cellphones are very handy now a days. It's a good way of communicating with love ones who are far from you. I always see guys and gels having cellphones and texting everywhere... MY cellphones don't last long enough. They always get busted or it just won't turn on...Some of my cellphones are second hands that's why they get busted so easily... I had nokia 5110 the oldest I had, then came the next one, then the next.. I even lost count of it.. What about you how many cellphones you had since you had one?

My first cellphone was a pre paid, hmm let me count how many I've had.. five cellphones, and my husband and I (with just us sharing one) has had five because they'd break. I had one that I dropped in the toilet but it still worked.

That is good to hear that you were near a repair shop. Mine fail in the toilet, I retrieved it and dried it off as best I could. The only thing affected was one port that allowed me to charge the phone but I had two ports that I could use to charge the phone with so luckily I didn't need to get it replaced. When I later exchanged it for a newer model they couldn't transfer my contacts so I had to do that manually.

I had my first phone which was an ericsson mobile. It has an antenna and it was expensive at that time. Then I was given a gift which was a Nokia 3310. It was also expensive at that time here in the Philippines. I remember having to update my ringtones every now and then to get with the trend. yay! I couldn't remember what mobiles i had. I just swapped my Nokia N70 with a N73. I just love Nokia phones because it's user-friendly and is easy to maintain. If ever i got troubles with a Nokia, I could easily repair it because I'm a cellphone technician and for all my experiences in troubleshooting mobiles, Nokias are easier to repair because the parts for the repair are readily available at hand from the parts supplier. I'm currently using an N73 and I say it has good camera resolution, handy in the pocket, not bulky, wide screen, I could even surf the net using it. If i were to buy another mobile then I'd say it would be an N82. Love Nokias!

Philippines is not the only country that really have many technicians to repair broken or damaged mobiles. India has more too. Other countries employ Filipinos to for cellphone technicians. It's a pride for the Philippines. The countries where mobiles are cheap just throw or dump broken phones. It's because it's cheaper to buy a new one than get the broken one repaired.

I see. thanks for that info basqui.. Well india should be recognized for that. There very practical and knows how to look for ways..Yeah it is Filipino pride to have talented people who knows thing like that coz I don't... Wish I could go there to those countries which offer cheap cellphones.. I'd like to have a nice one.. hekhek

Wow really addicted to Nokia's I'd say.I think you like really nice cellphones and all.. I'm a fan of sony now,I was a nokia fan but now I'm not into it anymore... I think that really a fan! ahahha.. It's an advantage here in the Philippines of having cheap repair. Unlike other countries which cost you lots of money, that's what I heard and am not really sure about that. Some actually throw it away if its not working. As for us, we tend to do something about it and push it's limit.. ^^

I've had 2. The first was a 2nd hand one and it worked pretty well but was really outdated and so I bought a new one. that was months ago and it is still good. My daughter seems to go thru a lot of them and I don't get it. I think she just tends to be kind of careless with them.

With the so many new innovations on the cell phone, you are sort of "forced" into upgrading or buying a new one every couple of years. I remembered my first cell phone out of college, it was a clunker. Now it is slim, and they are smart phones.. I am just about to upgrade to the iPhone, finally. So far since cell phone became popular in the 90s, I have had 10+ or so.

I've been using a cell phone for little over 20 years. My first phone was through comcast metrophone. It was back when cell phones were on an analog system. Then the phone broke so I got another one, can't remember what the model was, then I moved to Bell atlantic NYNEX. Still analog based system & it was a nokia flip phone. Then I went to Sprint when they first came out. Bought a samsung model. And while I was with them for about 4 years, I went through about 5 models of phones. Then I went to T-mobile. Had samsung, nokia, semen phone. Then went to Nextel, had about 3 different models through them, all motorola because at the time, nextel only had motorola models. When they merged with Sprint, I left them & went back to T-Mobile. Started out with samsung slide phone, then to blackberry 8120 and now blackberry 9700. I guess that makes it about 18 phones that I remember. I'm sure I've forgotten about few models in between...

I can no longer count in my fingers how many mobile phones i have had since I was 12 years old. My first mobile phone was from Bosch then followed by a series Nokia handsets such as 5110, 3210, 6510, 6600, 7650, 7710 Sony Ericsson P800, Nokia N70, N81 8GB, N82, Samsung basic mobile phones (for extra), Motorola V3x, W175, LG Cookie, Apple Iphone and a lot more.. I can't remember the other models anymore.. It's been ages since I had them... Hmmm. 1, 2, 3 ... I think the one I'm using now is my 7th cellphone, though I think among those 7, only 2 of them was brand new and I bought for myself. The other 3 are hand me downs from my dad and sister, and the last 2 are both free from my cellphone service provider since I have a service contract with them for 2 years. Hehehe. I don't like buying new cellphones, cause it's too expensive plus I know that there are a lot of offers out there where I can have the unit for free so why shell out the money right? Hehe.

I had around 6 celphones already since the time i first had one. Im not into those expensive phones but yeah i like them too. Its just that i go for pratically what suits me more than that of what is trendy. Maybe because we are not rich thats why i dont tend to buy lots and expensive phones. But more of our countrymen in the philippines for some reason buy those expensive phones even if sometimes they cant afford to maintain one. For the reason behind it? i just dont know why ;)
