My first choice right now is Michael Moore, and my second choice is Sean Penn. I am sure I have others, but those two are my tops right now. Who are yours?

The who: Bruce Willis The why: He's not a whiny, good-for-nothin', my-worldview-matters, we-should-all-live-in-squalor-except-me, partisan kinda guy. He's kick-a$$ and ready for the job. Why Michael Moore and Sean Penn? I think it would just be easier to move to Venezuela. And on a side note: I always wonder why they don't. A cynical man--not me, of course, but someone cynical--might see some of these guys as hypocrites: taking full advantage of the American dream while simultaneously crapping all over it and claiming that it's socially unjust and keeping poor people poor. But I know that's a lie to their faithful.

Well, Michael Moore because he would stick it to the corporate criminals who are the ones who keep the poor people poor. He is already immersed into politics and already mastered their game. He would also stand up for equality. I just like him, and he has a built-in following, so it should be relatively easy to get him in, if he ever ran. Sean would be much harder to get in, because he appears a little "angry" occasionally, but I think he is a great humanitarian, makes huge donations to good causes, both time and money, etc. I don't know much about Bruce politically, but I do like that he and Demi have a very friendly divorce. They seem to put the needs of their children first, which I think is a great quality.

They're two good choices, in my opinion. I'd add, in no particular order, Bill Maher, John Cusack, George Clooney, Ben Afleck, Matt Damon, Robert DeNiro, Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Among women I'd say Susan Sarandon, Madonna, Angelina Jolie ( she might not be old enough yet) and Olivia Wilde, who also is not old enough. Annie

She just seems to be very intelligent and compassionate. She was on Bill Maher's show a few weeks back and was very well-spoken and well-informed on the issues. Annie

How did I leave Bill Maher out? Silly me! Matt Damon would be good, I don't know enough about the rest. I know Ben Affleck is a democrat, so that is one plus. DeNiro would be fascinating as president. Susan Sarandon has always impressed me. Why Olivia Wilde, out of curiosity?

I dont think celebrities should embroil them selves into politics. I think they should stick to acting. But if pressed, I would have to say undoubtedly, Spongebob and Patrick could be his vice Pres. They are very nice people and Bob loves to work. They would make friends and we could all live in a pineapple under the sea!

Can I pick a character instead of a celebrity...because these days we need a true blue, stop at nothing tough guy for a leader...so I vote for Jack Bauer from the television series, 24. Jack will protect the entire world all by himself while also solving every problem this country has...an hour at a time. He also apparently never sleeps and neither does anyone who works with him so imagine how much they could get done.

Janeane Garafolo did call it, though, with some of her statements about the tea party.

Wow..good question. Stumped me. I can't think of one. I really don't like your choices..no surprise there. But I can't really think of one of them I would vote for or want to see as president. I would like to see more "non rich" poeple in our higher levels of government. People who know what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck...not from their "distant" past..but right now. I think it would help things to have more of the "common" people in these offices. Not the elite rich.

We need major campaign fiance reform. The amount spent on the last presidential election was just stupid. Do we honstly need to spend almost a billion dollars to elect a president? that is how much was spent in the last presidential election season.

I like the currently "non-rich" idea. How do you think they will afford their campaign? Imagine going across country in a VW bus running on vegetable oil, with hand made signs. That would be awesome. I am not even joking or being sarcastic.

I am embarassed to say - who is Larry Byrd? What do we think of Woody Harrelson? He's a little spacey, but I know he wants hemp legalized and I know he is a vegan. Why Tiger Woods? He is kind of trampy. LOL - Just joking, but, man, did he get around. It does kind of fit in with some politicians today.

Does it have to be an actor? Can it be a sports celebrity? If so, Tiger Woods. No, I better go with Larry Byrd.

Um, I couldn't even watch her reality show. Make no mistake, I think she got a bad rap, and her handlers did not treat her right, and she is just the product of something created, but, I am going to have to say no. I was on the fence about Madonna, but Britney would be horrifying. Still, several steps above Sarah Palin.

I don't want either one of them cause they aren't qualified for that office..Why would you want either one of those men they are both communist and don't believe anyone has rights....... If those are your only two men you can think of then you aren't very well informed. Not only that but they are both idiots they would be worse than the one we have now and we got him because everyone want to vote for a black man they didn't listen to what he had to say...... You have to listen to what they say and I they say they are progressive turn around and run.........

How are they not qualified? They're American born citizens and they're over the age of 35. Annie

I prefer progress over oppression, obstruction, and regression. These men are absolutely brilliant, and they have been involved in many political issues. They both stick out because of that.

Absolutely none of them. I resent when celebrities even make political endorsements and I don't think any of them should be running for poltical office.

Sometimes they are actually qualified, so in those cases, I wouldn't let their celebrity take away from their qualifications. I like hearing their endorsements or smack talking - it is entertaining, and kind of education, considering most of them fall in higher tax brackets than the norm, and I like to see if that impacts them.

I don't think any celebrity in its right mind would want to. Michael Moore is no better than anyone else. He makes some good points, but then destroy his own credibility by becoming extreme in his views. Sean Penn would need to first learn to control his temper. A president punching a journalist in the nose is not quite what we are looking for. Quite frankly, we don't want an actor for President. The Politicians are already better actors than the Hollywood actors as it is.

I am obviously a big Michael Moore fan and follower. I don't think he is too extreme; I just think he is logical, and sometimes it comes off as extreme. Obviously, putting police tape around Wall St was a little extreme, but it was funny, and made people think. Sean Penn does have quite a reputation for his temper. I think he is very well spoken, though, and he is very committed to his causes no matter what is thrown at him. And, I like that he wouldn't have to worry about anyone trying to bribe him. He is fairly wealthy, and from what I heard, makes donations in amounts of 7 figures. But, I do agree. The politicians are already better actors. :-)

No celebrity from the entertainment world but NEWT GINGRICH would be a good person to attempt to correct the four year fiasco of Obama. Pelosi and Reid.

Us2owls - you have to be kidding Newt. God forbid if that was to ever happen. Thanksfully there are alot of smart people out there that would never vote for him.
