What is the use of good youtube rating ?

Hello, can anyone tell me this. I have seen people requesting to watch and rate their videos on youtube.How does it benifit us ? we do not get any commission for the video. Do we ? I could not find proper information anywhere. somebody please explain.

It depends f videos, some videos are for commercial utilisation so having a good rating give a good look to the visitors an they are tend to sign-up/build the things/sites that are on the videos.
But sometimes, it is just for having a good rating, it is always good to have a good rating, sites on Internet are not all for having money.

Yea they do get commision. Youtube partners make a lot of money who get millions of views. They can even make $100k+ a year. Some people dont work and all they do is make videos and travel around the world.
To become a partner you need to apply and have original videos.

Sometime people do search by rating to look for good videos yea.
