I have never been to Los Angeles but my mom has been to America for several times now and she usually take pictures of the different places there and show it to me.. She took a picture of the Hollywood because she knows that I want to visit this place someday.. of course this is the most popular place where the great artists works.. :)I hope I can visit this place someday because I have a long list of places that I want to visit and this is just one of them. have you been to Hollywood already?

I spent a week in the L.A area in 1997, but I did not go to Hollywood. I went passed there on a freeway and visited Burbank which is not too far from there, just behind the Hollywood Hills. I stayed in Pasadena most of the week, but also spent a night in Inglewood, which was a rough looking area and 3 nights in Buena Vista to the south near Anaheim. While I was staying there, I visited Disneyland which was a lot of fun! 
To be totally honest, going to Hollywood and seeing celebrities did not really interest me as they are built up by the media to be greater people than they actually are.

wow that is great!! but seeing the different artist is not my point, I just wanna visit and see Hollywood since Hollywood is very popular all over the world. You always see this place in the movies and I know it is way different to see the actual place rather than seeing it in the pictures. The aura of knowing that you are in a place where famous people usually work is different.. I just cant imagine the feeling. ;p

Yeah, I know what you mean. It was great to see these places in real life that I had only seen in the movies before. I saw more of these in San Francisco and New York though, than in L.A.

Hee hee. I've lived in LA all my life! Sometimes I wonder how others perceive this place . . . just like how I perceive other cities around the world. Yes, there are many artists here (including my husband and I). The ocean, the deserts, the mountains, the city, the countryside . . . almost everything is just a short drive away . . . I think many of us take this place for granted! This includes Hollywood . . . I wonder what about it appeals to you (this was a discussion I had with my hubby when we saw the sign going to the museum the other weekend . . . how others must perceive "Hollywood"). Hope you get to visit LA soon!

I visited Los Angeles in 1993, 2001 and 2002. On my first trip there I did some sightseeing in Hollywood. I viewed Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Universal Studios. I visited San Diego, Santa Barbara, Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Francisco also in sunny California. I hope that you will be able to visit Los Angeles and see famous Hollywood.
