Sometimes and depends of the jazz or reggae you are listening to. Some jazz is more groovy and for dancing, by this way reggae sure is more relaxing.

heck yes its more relaxing. Jazz is waaaay too experimental and not as musically uniform as reggae music. plus, reggae is much more fun to listen to. it has a rich sound and makes people want to dance and have a good time. Jazz is too hard on my ears and i always try to get passed this, but it seems to me that most people (that i've met) who listen to jazz are awfully pretentious and think they know everything. In short, reggae is better.

depends on the songs/artists type of reggae or jazz really doesn't it? I wouldn't call the heavier or more energetic regae tunes (or dub reggae) exactly relaxing.

i listen to both when i want to relax. Although i find reggae more relaxing. I like those quick strums of the guitar. It relaxes me.

I'd say yes raggae music is more relaxing in most cases. Never really liked jazz, am not a big fan of raggae either but i like it more than jazz.
