we were happy using windows xp. but now many are using the window7. no doubt it is a good operating system. but have you ever consider what you have gained after moving to this from windows xp. i am not sure if i have achieved many things in this migration. what are your views.

Migrating from XP to windows 7 is a good idea at this point of time because of rising technology. But on the other reason you must also consider the different thing about a new Operating System.
Windows 7 have bugs in their windows explorer if you are observant specially on copying or moving files from a USB flashdisk folder to another folder in your Main drive. this bugs became an issue in windows 7.
For me windows xp is still the best. Windows 7 is still adjusting on the different features they want to develop and fixing the bugs the user noticed.
Windows Xp is still in used in many computer shops because of many software compatibilities.

I agree that many compatability issues still exist, but this is because so many users still have older software and hardware. My CD writer is not recognised by Windows 7, and neither are my scanner or audio card.
To be fair to Microsoft this is due to the manufacturers not bothering to support the older components in Windows 7, they prefer that people buy new items.

I upgraded to Windows 7 and for the most part, I'm never looking back at XP. I think a lot of people are afraid of a new operating system, especially with what happened to Vista. You have to remember that even XP was down talked by a lot of people when Windows 98/2000 was out.
Some devices won't function in Windows 7 because they're old and well, there's not so much that can be done about that. Eventually, people will have to switch and might as well do it as soon as possible and get used to it instead of waiting last second and attempting to readjust then.

Yeah! there is! More features in windows 7 of course, graphics, tweaks etc... It is really depends on the users and what application we are using. XP almost all applications are compatible. I am still using XP and happy using it.
Have a nice day and Happy mylotting..

well the most thing i like about this windows is its stability.. i m using it for 6 months now on my both computers... its working great and i never need to reinstall the windows... while using xp i need to install it every new month.. even xp gets slower by the time... but windows 7 remains consistent as i installed it today... its great... its outlook is fantastic and it has many features as well.. u dont need to install any software for the partition of the hard disk... u can do it manually in windows 7.. and there are many more new features..
