Friends how many of you like dates. My dad got fresh black dates from muscat. That was yummy, i loved it, it was very tasty. But my friend said, that black dates taken by the pregnant ladies, the kids will born in black color. Is that true, black foods can increase the melaline to turn black? I dont believe this, what you feel??

hi besthope44 well if that were really true then both my children would be born jet black, no of course its not true, food does not go to the mealine in our bodies, it goes to the cells of the muscles after its turned into glucose. where on earth did your friend come up with such a myth, urban perhaps? not true, we eat blueberries, but our babies do noit turn blue we eat purple grapes but our b abies do not turn purple. use some common sense,do not believe every thing someone says as they may not know what the heck they are talking about. Only our genes determine our babies colors.

When I was little we used to eat the cherry pits so that my parents would give us more. My mother knew our trick and she said that if we ate the pits, a cherry tree would grow in our stomachs. This thing about dates made me remember my moms saying. Only she said it joking. Only genes have something to do with babies“ skin colour. Take care!
