How many hours per day do you spend in front of the Computer

March 30, 2010 6:44am CST
I spend most of my day in front of a computer. I work in front of the computer all morning...I then move to a second part-time job where I work with a computer and when I get home I usually go to the computer. I would say I spend at least 8 hours a day in front of the computer. And you? What do you think of this?

Wow...I don't remember the last time I only spent 2 hours in front of the computer. :) I know it is not very healthy to spend all the time I do in front of the computer but it is part of my job. Anyway, thanks for participating in my first discussion. :)

I work online, part time now, since I'm partially retired, but I have had days when I was at the computer for 10 or 12 hours. Now it's more like 4 to 6 hours, but it's addicting, even though I've been doing this for years. It's not good for us.

Very well in managing to reduce the number of hours. :) Still a lot dough...but if you work online you have the same "problem" as some of us...what can we do? It is our life.

I spend almost ten hours in front of my computer when I am not in school. I write for a few writing sites online and computer is my company everyday. I say good morning to my computer early in the morning. I work with my computer, relax in the company of my computer and end my day with the company of my computer. That is how much time I spend with my computer.

The big problem is the time we spend at work...we could be using that time to do better stuff on the Web. :)

I usually use my computer for six hour a day, I use the internet for 4 hours and the rest for playing game for relaxation. I find if I spend to much time in computer I will hurt my back and my eye. It seem today more and more we use our time on computer, I had a friend who can spend 24 hours in front of computer playing online game in Internet.

Wow...24h is a bit too much... :) That means not even sleeping, how did he manage to have friends? Yes, I also feel some back problems from times to times. Regarding my eyes I have recently started to wear glasses. so, the computer is taking me over. Now I discovered myLot and I don't think it will help me use the computer less. :)

Probably 2 hours in the weekends some more.
30 Mar 10
I imagine that is the propriate amount. 2 hours should be enough to check emails and a bit more. I'm now in bed going to sleep and I'm still with my iPhone replying to you... So, keep being good to yourself. ;) do what I say don't do what I do. :)
