Posting Campaign Sortie in Trees...Poor Trees.. X-(

Philippines
March 30, 2010 9:31am CST
Hello lotters, It is indeed Campaign period time and just before that time i have seen posters and ads that are posted in electrical post and most specially TREES. two candidates in a local position and two candidates for the Presidential position. For Presidential Candidates, that would be Noynoy and Erap, Villar has they're post in trees and his (villar) own subdivision gates. Tomorrow I am gonna try to call the Commission on Elections to report the violation.

hello ms. francsicso, Well, yeah i believe they lack man power here. and still this day they can't even file a violation to the leading people in the surveys due to lack of complainants, are they kidding me?! the evidence is right there! seeing by the people as they pass the tarpoulines. i am sure they will be taken out sooner than you think after the election

This kind of violation has been going on for years and i think the comelec can't do anything about it. The politician on the other hand can always wash his hands and claim that he is not aware of the violations committed and could even blame his opponents of trying to discredit him. We need people like you who take the time to report these violations. Getting a result, i guess would be another story...so LK keep us posted.

hello ybong, that's really sad isn't it. that's why i won't vote for those who keep posting posters and tarpaulins everywhere. the result sucks, they gave me an old number that doesn't work anymore. as for me, those tarpaulins gives me the reason not to vote for them. seriously, with out they're flat forms, they don't get my vote.

If that's the case i think, you'll end up not voting at all. .

I know, it actually makes me feel that if these people (or the Candidates who hired them) cannot follow the rules, how are they able to lead a better Philippines? It does reflect the leadership of the Candidates and I hope they put serious action to that.

hello laydee, as ever, they never did, even in the 2004 elections non one followed the rules, most specially villar who also spent a lot during the 2004 elections. how can they lead? i don't know. but i do know that Gordon will lead the country well if he wins, if the others win i have no idea how are they gonna do it.

These candidates can't even follow simple rule. How can they be good leaders if they themselves does not know the meaning of obedience and discipline. I wonder why the COMELEC is not serious in imposing the penalties. No one has been really penalized to date! Anyone? Why not disqualify these candidates so that they will learn their lesson? But the problem is there is no real strict implementation so no one really follows.

hello salonga, that's why am voting for Richard Gordon, he's not that kind of person. there isn't much campaign sorties here as well but trouble is that volunteers who support gordon put tarpoulines and other sorties to forbidden areas and media tends to squash it, even if it's not that big. in this country, people don't follow rules.

Am glad to have a fellow citizen doing extra effort to keep electioneering away. If you course through Marcos hi-way and visit Antipolo city proper, the campaign paraphernalia decorate every tree and post, even fences and gates. But at least the restrictions in the main thoroughfares, as in Quezon City, are working. Hopefully, in the future elections, we could get rid of this campaign sorties. The internet, I was told, was flooded!

hello eileen, i called them and gave me the phone number in their office in Cavite, but the number is out of reach and probably it's not the same number anymore. i wouldn't call them anymore as they kept me waiting for a while which cost a lot on my phone bill. .

COMELEC is just plain ridiculous, if they are serious about the election then I think almost all the candidates running for every position available have already been sanctioned and or disqualified by this time. If they are strict enough to follow their own rules then I guess all running candidates would also be disciplined and they would all observe and follow the rules of the Election

hello hexeduser, yes it is. they're lack man power and political will to discredit or disqualify candidates for such violations. but i guess we have to inform our volunteers not to post it in some forbidden areas. gordon doesn't have that much staff, only volunteers.

I believe there's a comelec ruling that you can't post in trees or electrical post. call comelec and report this.
