I am afraid not getting the state tax

I just got my tax done, and I was desperately waiting for the refund money, so I can take care of a couple of bills. According to my accountant information, I will receive my Federal income tax around 2 weeks or so. About state tax, there is news about delay tax return on State of Georgia until July, this summer? If there is a delay refund, it meant that our state government is broke, and we might not going to see our state refund money. Does anyone hear about this news?

Maybe it is time to write your state Elected Officials and DEMAND that they cut the state budget starting with their salaries, benefits, and expenses. My sister was furious when gas prices went up and the Governor gave the people receiving welfare an increase in monthly payments. When school started all the children got extra money for school supplies. We need to keep reminding the elected officals that "IT IS NOT THEIR MONEY THAT THEY ARE SPENDING"

Our state is officially bankrupted, even though they didn't say so. Mismanagement of state budget is one of the major reason. I am no politician, and I don't know the big picture yet. I just need some extra money for this year, so, we can spend a extra some.

I know that there are several states that are in this boat. The economy is just so bad right now that it is affecting state governments. I know California did this last year. My best friend lives in California and she was affected. I am glad that you will be getting your federal return soon and that it will help you out a little. I hope that you will get your state refund earlier than the summer. I wish you all the best.

thank you, but I don't have this kind of optimism for my state right now. There were many bad news all over the television and radio. Local news just tell how bad it was for the state government right now.
