I'm glad you asked this question. I have this weird brushing habit - sometimes I even brush up to 5 times a day! I just hate the feeling when I have an unbrushed mouth - I feels yucky and stinky and just plain rotten. So after each meal I brush. And I brush for at least 5 minutes - sometimes I end up brushing my teeth the whole time I'm watching a show on TV until the next commercial comes up. And I brush my teeth while reading, while typing, sometimes while even talking on the phone :-p When I work late at night even after I've brushed my teeth (after dinner) I end up brushing again, sometimes even twice, because I get hungry while working and then I feel that I have to brush my teeth afterwards each time. So far my dentist still finds my teeth/gums normal, but I feel that my teeth's enamel is getting thinner. Not very nice, actually.

I have no problem with any irritation when brushing my teeth. I brush twice a day. Maybe you should consider a toothbrush with softer bristles and don't brush too hard. That is not healthy for your gums. TATA.

To be honest with you I brush my teeth twice a day.But no matter how many times you brush your teeth,if you eat fast foods, too many sweets(you know, thigs like this),you'll have stomatological problems anyway.I mean it's more important what you eat,cos toothpaste is just a way to refresh your breath. You shouldn't expect that your teeth could be absolutely protected by everyday brushing teeth.
