Have you ever read a book again right after finishing it the first time?

I few of my friends have told me that they've loved a book so much that right after finishing the very last page they've turned right back to the beginning and started reading again. I'm an avid reader, but I've never read a book I've loved so much that I turned right back to the start and started reading it again. I rarely re-read books period. But I'm curious, how many of you out there have actually done this? What book was it? Why did you love it so much? Please share!

Yes I read two sets of books over and over again. Which books? Harry Potter and Twilight Saga. These are the books that goes around the office, can't wait for your turn to read each book again and again. Me and my friends love Harry Potter and Twilight books more than the movie versions.

I re-read Twilight right before I went to see the movie for the first time. I liked the movie, but I agree that the books are better. I didn't re-read New Moon just because it wasn't my favorite of the series, but I think I might re-read Eclipse before I go see the movie. I haven't re-read any of the Harry Potter books. I don't like them very much. I don't hate them, but there are books that I enjoy much more.

I've never done that either. I'm like you. Once I read a book and know what happens I don't read it again. Part of the excitement of reading a book is finding out what happens in the story and getting involved with the characters. Once you know what happens it kind of is pointless to read it again. Especially right away. There have been occasions where I've picked up a book and started reading and after a few pages realized I've already read it. But since i obviously didn't remember reading it, or what happens, I'll read it again.

I've re-read a few books, mostly after a long time has passed and I'd like to remind myself of the story. A really good book is like a really good movie or a really good song, you just want to immerse yourself in that world over and over again. It doesn't really matter if you know how it ends, you love it too much. I like finding new books and going through new stories. There are so many books I want to read that I often don't bother re-reading the ones I love, but occasionally I'll re-read a book just to remind myself of everything that happened. I've never loved a book so much I've wanted to turn right back to the beginning and read it again, but I think maybe I'd like to encounter my one special book like that someday.

I have many books and when I finish them I re-read themit is a good way to remember all the story and you can learn much more because you can forget the story and that is why you buy books. So if you buy books you leave them there?

I have reread a couple of books but not right after I read them. Usually I would reread them two or three months after. I also have some books that I have read more than five times already and I havent gotten tired of the story just yet.

I did this when I was reading the first book of Harry Potter. There were so many things that I have forgotten so I really have to read it again. But after reading the half of it I already stopped. I got bored reading it.

I have read couple of books again right after that. One I remember was form I read three times continuously. This one was the based on the old historic story. The character i like most. I wanted to read it again and again... and what the philosophy around it.

Not right after, but within 24 hours of finishing it for the first time. There are times when you get to the end of the book and you think "oh duh". Especially if it's a mystery. Then go back and re-read it to catch the clues.
