In the USA covering up a crime is concidered a conspiracy to commit a crime, right? When the current Pope was Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger he personal covered up rape/molestation case of a priest in Milwaukie. The Archbishop asked for an investigation and removal of the priest but Ratzinger do nothing. When a secret investigate did happen Ratzinger, stopped the investigation due to an appeal by the accused priest. Is this not a criminal action?

I am not sure but I think a lot of places treat the Catholic Church like they do Indian Reservations. They allow them to handle their own justice. That being said, and maybe said wrong. My question is, why didn't the parents follow through. I am not saying it is the parents fault that it happened. But they should take some responsibility when it continues to happen.

The parents didnt' follow through because the people they rely on to be their intercessor with God told them that they'd go to hell if they spoke out.

In my opinion it's morally and legally criminal, yes. I have been very dismayed over and over again throughout the years by the Church's penchant for relocating priests who hurt children instead of dealing with them like the criminals they, too, are.
