i have watched the Passion of the Christ film by Mel Gibson many times now. the thing is, everytime i watch it, it still got me to my heat that i really cry and reflect that God really saved me from my sinfulness. the film has really lots of scenes wherein i reflect things like when Mary saw Jesus falling, he motherhood struck her and came running to her. i know that this may sound ridiculous but it has really gotten my attention and i cannot resist watching the movie. i just love the way it was made, many people say it is torture, but if you ask me, that was still nothing in real life when Jesus was tortured, not even half. do you feel the same way like i do or is it just my being emotional that struck me everytime i watch the movie? have a blessed Holy Week!

I agree movies cannot fully capture what really happened during the Passion of Jesus. I think if a movie could capture all the pain and suffering and torture Jesus knew..no one could stand to look at it.

Here in our place, the Philippines, there are some devotees who volunteer themselves regularly every Holy Week, letting themselves crucified by live nails like Jesus. But there are some support like ropes tied in their arms so they won't experience the same torture Jesus had.

I cannot deny the fact that,The Passion of the Christ is indeed a heart stopping movie. It is the best movie interpretation of how Jesus Christ paid for our sins on the cross. No wonder a criminal who saw the movie turned himself in to the police. I cried when I watched it. I imagined myself being there with my Lord, watching Him die on the cross to set me free. I am redeemed because of Him.

In the movie the things done to the Jesus Christ in story wasn't able to completely visualize the real torture that the real Jesus Christ had gone through, but seeing that much pain will struck anybody. I've also watched that many times now and every time i watched it i still can't get myself to see or even look at the part where they showed the nailing of Christ in the cross. I don't know why but i can't look at it. =(
