Coffee Party V. Tea Party

"How is the coffee party different from the tea party? Eric, you first." asked Houston AM radio Newscasters. "Tea party claims to represent conservatives, but it does not represent our views. While tea party is anti-government, the coffee party understands that it is the individual politicians and not government that is bad. Though conservative, the coffee party is not all about conservatism; we believe in communicating with all politicians - republicans, democrats and independents - and agree with those that have the best ideas for the majority of the people." Eric Bryer of the coffee party goes on to cite the disagreements among the founders and how they finally agreed based on common good of the nation rather than specific political interests. "We are not all about anti-government," says Greg Holly of the tea party. "We just do not like big government taking over businesses and telling us what to do." I am a Christian religious conservative and know that a nation cannot be stable without law and order! While I do not believe in government running my life, I have a problem with the current unrest by republican conservatives for the simple fact that I just cannot stand hypocrisy - I have stated in several discussions (including discussions on this site) that the deprpivation of your civil rights and government deciding what health care it thinks you should get were determined in early 2000 in the Patriot Act II and MEHPA, and all under the watch of republican president George W. Bush. Why did you republicans not protest then? As per government talking over businesses: Let me remind you whiners that all those auto and financial companies willingly and knowingly went to the government for hand-outs! I thought we were supposed to know that governmetn does not give anything for nothing. By asking and receiving taxpayers' monies from the government, these corporations placed themselves at the mercy of the government! What did you all expect? They were supposed to receive wellfare checks and go free? Oh, I think I get it! A lot of the investors of these companies are republicans. And after taxpayers' monies bailed and reimbursed them, that should have been the end of the story. Right? Tsk, tsk, tsk!

i am never quite sure why people don't like the idea of big governments running things but are perfectly happy to be controlled by big business. either way (although the two often run together) it is not the people who have the power. personally i'd rather not have either.
