Three shops so parked car in one place

The shops were very so busy today because it is Easter this weekend. I had to go to two supermarkets and the post office sorting office. I had to get shopping and collect a parcel. So I parked at the first supermarket did my shopping then put my bag of goods in my car. Then I walked up to the post office sorting office. On the way back to my car I went to the other supermarket. By the time I got back to my car the other supermarket had cars everywhere. A car park attendance officer asked me if I had been to the first supermarket. He moaned at me for parking there. I explained that I had been to their supermarket before going to the other places. I saw the line of cars and knew getting out of there would take ages. So I sat in my car feeding my baby daughter. The car park attendance officer gave me a bunch of pink roses. I was really surprised. I guess he wanted to say sorry for moaning at me.
What do you think?
If you wanted to visit three shops where would you park at one of them or all three of them?

Yes I have done that before as I used to park, get my bits from there first so they would see me go in if they were watching so they could see I had used the store, then go and get whatever else I needed from other places and then come back. They have imposed the 3hr rule so as long as I have used the store I don't think they can really moan at you! lol x

I would the same thing as you did.I think the attending officers gesture is a fine one.There are many a time when i'm in your position and my response is to park at one of the shops if the attendant allows me to do so.At times i veer into the bylane park my car and complete my shopping or work.
