How to make a blog well known

Hello, im creating a blog focused on finance and money making tips / programs, so the thing that most worries me is that i may not get a lot of visitors, so i would like to know your opinions and tips to make the blog well known and recieve some decent amount of visitors.

I need to figure out how to drive more visitors to my blog as well. All I've been doing is making sure my blog's link is presented in all of my comments in all the other blogs I post, making sure my site profiles are filled with my link and keep talking in places that are related to my subject.
