Hi my friends, MAy I know the brand of your computer? As we all have heard the brand of the HP, how will you comment on this brand? Do you think it can be a good brand among the compuer? Have you ever heard some bad news about the HP,who has sold some low quality HP computer to some countries ,such as China? What is more, its spokesman just deny that they have sold the bad ones to other countries. I think if you have known taht, how will you comment on it.

I have a brand-new HP computer with Windows 7. I just bought it today, and I think it is excellent, so far. I have had Gateway, Dell, and Compaq in the past, and they are all good. This one, I think, is excellent, but like I said, I just got it today.

My husband is all about Asus computers, which isn't a major brand but seems to be better than most of the major brands. However, neither of our computers are purchased as a specific brand. My husband actually custom builds computers and given that option, I will never again purchase another computer that is made in a factory. By having a custom built computer, I know that everything that I have inside my computer is fulfilling my personal needs perfectly.

I think its is depend on your requirement that what configuration you want.. because if you prefer Hp.. then you may find different-2 configuration in different-2 range.. so firstly makeup your mood that what is your requirement.. and as you ask it is good or bad brand.. then i want to say that Hp is a good brand.. and many of my friends used this company laptop.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

We have an HP computer and a Dell laptop. I am not sure what to say about the news of an HP exec talking of selling the bad computers to other countries. If they sell said computers to China, china could probably fix them up. Might that be why they sold them, so they could be refurbished?

I got two classmate who has HP laptops and another two for compaq. HP got defects on LCD after months and same with Compaq only to find out that they both have the same manufacturers. I really don't recommend this brand coz there will be a big chance that you will go to them for warranty earlier than expected.

I think Blackberry has made this possible...But I guess in order to do my tasks, I would prefer my PC or notebook..There's no way a HP can have more memory than a laptop. And it's more convinient to type in notebook than in HP.

I dont think so ,because there are so many brands which has been launched and all of them is having their own good qualities.so it depends on the brand we select.

the expectation is when HP bought Compaq they'd be one of the major players as far as PC's and laptops are concerned. but it did not translate to that. if you're in china i think you'd be better off with lenovo as what one poster earlier mentioned. the IBM's thinkpad laptop product line is now under the lenovo brand. IBM sold it to them.

Hi monkeylong. Thanks for bringing this topic to discussion. At first I did not want to believe what I was reading. I always thought HP to be a trustworthy company, so it never occurred to my mind that such things would be done by a serious company like HP. I guess greed and bigger profits drive man to do such things. I am posting the news I found HP and low quality products sold to China for those who did not have the chance to read about it. China's product-quality watchdog said US computer maker Hewlett-Packard violated Chinese consumer rights rules, after an investigation into complaints about faulty laptops from dozens of customers. The investigation found problems in a number of HP Pavilion DV2000 and Compaq Presario v3000 notebooks, which led to crashes, black screens and overheating. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20100319/tc_afp/chinausitcompanyhp_20100319071436 The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement on its website (www.aqsiq.gov.cn) that after consumer complaints, it had found several models were affected by defective video cards and display screens. Faulty video cards caused overheating, crashing of computers and black screens on some HP Pavilion DV2000 and Compaq Presario v3000 laptops, the report said. Six models including the HP 541 also had problems with their screens, the findings added. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100319/wr_nm/us_china_hewlettpackard
