Cat is shedding so much more than normal for seasonal changes??

My youngest cat is shedding super fast for Spring time. I know that cats coats do get thicker in the Winter and then they shed it in the Springtime. But Delilah seems to be shedding a heck of alot more than normal. We did cut down some tree branches and so my living room is much sunnier than normal. She loves to sun bathe but I'm still not sure that is why she's shedding so much. Any ideas? Her died hasn't changed and she's seems in great health otherwise...
