Are you ahead or behind the myLot time shown at the bottom of the page. I'm 6 hours ahead here in England. Its around 3.40pm on Friday afternoon for us.

It's 19C. You can bring your swimsuit with you and have a dive in our cold sea. I would not do it as the sea would still be a bit cold but there are many others who defy the elements and have a dip right now. I prefer to swim when the weather is a bit more warm.

I dont suppose that has any particular advantage/disadvantage because I dont think many people even look at the myLot time but, I thought it would be interesting to guage what time it was around the world.

Hi Wizzywig, I am 13 hours a head of myLot time. As I write this post, my clock is 11.57 pm Friday. 3 minutes more before I am on Saturday. I like to see myLot time because I want to know how much I earn from yesterday works. It is usually around 8.00pm to 11.00pm (Malaysia time) that mylot update our earnings.

Then it will be Saturday for you by now and you are working late.

I am 15 hours in front of the MyLot time. I am assuming that only the people in New Zealand would be further in front of this time than me. I do not think there are any people from Tonga or Samoa here! Not that I have seen anyway!
@Wizzywig (7847)

D'ya know, I always thought Australia was more than 7 hours ahead of us... there you go, I've learned something. So, you still have plenty of time to go out and party
@Wizzywig (7847)

...and of course, it is more than 7....its 9 Its all this ahead/behind and different time zones thats doing it. Oh jeeeez... I think I should just go back to bed and start again

HaHa! I was just going to say, yep we are normally ten hours in front of the UK! Then I saw your response with your correction and of course it is now 9 hours as you just started daylight savings. It is 5.15pm Saturday here. Daylight savings finishes here for most of Australia tonight I think. We do not have it our state though. The think that the extra hour of daylight will fade the curtains too much!

The MyLot time is something that is pretty much something that I did not really notice until this topic brought it up. Hmm, that's interesting, a third way to check the time. In addition to the clock on my computer and the clock on my desk beside me. Oh well, that can be handy for some people I suppose, as it is right in front of their faces when they type and thus they do not have avert their faces. My clock and the MyLot time appears to be about the same. In fact, exactly the same. Which is fine for me. Guess that works out pretty well. Actually there is a thirty second difference, but really, that could just account for my clock being set a little too fast as opposed to anything that is in error for the MyLot time. Still it is rather nice that they sync up like that. Makes my life a bit easier, I can tell you that much.

I'm confused by your question... Or do you mean the spring forward, fall back thing? Canada and the states synchronized a couple years back, I think.
@Wizzywig (7847)
2 Apr 10
yes I did. I was thinking that, if you forgot to put yours forward, it would show the same as mylot time but I guess it wouldn't be any more confusing than anywhere else really as you'd realise as soon as you saw it.

Over here in Italy I am 7 hours ahead of myLot's time. That means I can catch up in the mornings while US Lotters are still asleep and haven't started posting new stuff. Of course those from India and the Philippines are already on when I get here but lots of them seem to post about stuff I cab't relate too, especially now with their elections coming up.

The most varied audience, in terms of cultures, ages and nationalties, seems to be between 12 noon and midnight my time - 5 am to 5 pm myLot time, though some are here before and some are here after then too. Weekends are different with more Lotters on earlier and from a younger age group compared to weekdays too. All in all, any time of every day and night there is always someone who is typing something somewhere and fun can be had
@Wizzywig (7847)
2 Apr 10
Yes, thats true enough. Thats why its good that its 'worldwide'.
@Wizzywig (7847)
2 Apr 10
I hadnt thought of it that way. I wonder whats the best time of day to get the widest audience... I'd guess its from about 9pm (10 for you) through to 6am (7 for you)

Hi, Wizzywig. It seems like you are very ahead of myLot. I am ahead of myLot. It is 6:08 p.m. where they are at. And it is 7:08 p.m. I am just one hour ahead of myLot, just not that much of a difference.

Hi,there.It 20:35PM in my local time but it's 07:35 in mylot time.It's really a huge difference.And because the big time difference I made a great joke.I said "hope you have seet dreams" but she answered me it's 6:00AM there and she just got up.How embarrassing I was at that time.

Strange, it's now showing 8:12 and my clock is 16:12, same date... So that's 8 hours ago, not ahead.... In that case it might just be in the US... I guess I must have converted somehing like 09:00 to 19:00 in my head for some reason, that would explain it :D Maybe I should get glasses :D

I never noticed the time below before. I would just look to see how big the mylot community has grown. I can't believe I never noticed the time difference. Mylot is one hour ahead of me. So its 1:22am Easter Sunday morning but Mylot time its 2:22am Easter Sunday.

Hello, Wizzy. Here in Spain, we're an hour ahead of the UK, so I'm 7 hours ahead of MyLot time. It's now 9.30am on a beautifully sunny Easter Sunday. Looks like another day of sunbathing - oh well, somebody has to do it! I must say, it's great to have the MyLot clock, as it makes it easier to know when our friends across the pond are active.
@Wizzywig (7847)

Just like someone has to get up and get their coat on to go for a walk - and find that it's pouring with rain?? Its lovely and sunny here and really warm ... as the sun comes through the window pane. Yes, itsuseful to know when there are likely to be plenty of people about on here.

I am in United States eastern standard time. From what I can tell by the mylot clock they are located in United States central standard time, so they are one hour behind us. Right now we are at 11:48 pm on Friday, April 2 (23:48 in military time), mylot time reads 22:48 so there is that one hour difference showing. This works very well in my advantage because I am a late bodied person, this means i can get more activity in on my operating day.

Its not unusual for me to sit up till 2am but, for the last few nights, I've just gone to bed early out of boredom I got up early this morning intending to go for a walk but it was raining. I like to go early when everywhere is quiet so the moment's passed now. It'll have to be the exercise bike and a bit of gardening when it dries up a bit.
