Have you ever been so excited you made yourself sick?

I've got butterflies in my stomach because if all goes well, I get to meet a fellow mylotter today. They are coming through the city where I live while traveling to see some of their family. I'm so excited, but I guess my stomach is so nervous I'm kind of making myself ill. Silly, huh? Has there ever been a time where you got so excited about something or someone, that you actually made yourself a little ill, without even realizing it?

Not quite sick but I did hyperventilate once because I got way too excited. I think I had good reason, though. I won a radio contest and they announced the winner (me!) on the air. The contest was two round-trip tickets to the Virgin Islands and a week sailing around the islands. I was lying in bed at the time, resting after just getting off work. I think there may still be an indentation of my body in the ceiling when I flew right off the bed. I was so excited that I was breathing way too fast. My feet and hands started tingling. When the tingling started creeping up my arms and legs, I realized that I was hyperventilating and had to force myself to calm down before I passed out.

That IS a good reason to hyperventilate. I'm meeting GardenGerty.

I've been nervous enough to be sick (final exams in school), but never excited with the same result. I hope you have a wonderful time! I've met many of my e-friends from Pogo and had a great time for each of them. Enjoy!!!

My internet wasn't working last night, so I couldn't update. It went really well. We talked for about two hours. It was nice of her and her husband to take the time to do that.

First of all, I wish to know who are those fellow mylotters you got to meet? I really hope you had a good time! Second, yes it did happen to me. I was fascinated with this one guy before. I remember that was year 2008. I saw this guy watching basketball. I do patronize the same team as he did. Its been three times I saw him before I got to feel that I was having a crush on him. Since then whenever our basketball team have play , I do watch not only for the team but also to be able to see him. One time the night before that game I feel butterflies in the stomach and it was really hard to sleep. I keep thinking about him, that whole day he was my only thoughts. I was seeing his smile and his face of all the people I see. On that day, morning, because I did not get enough sleep I feel very tired. actually my temperature became hot in the afternoon, but still I insisted to go to the venue. When I got there, on the ticketing area I already seen him and I felt okay instantly. He did not look at me though, but I am okay of seeing him there. That is a blessing already.

I been so excited to won a lottery in our locality that I really felt elated because it really felt so right. Winning a million dollars is a big thing and probably the best thing to happen to me. Imagined me a nobody suddenly win something like that outrageous money and too good to be true. Actually...I wake up in the morning to realized that I am only dreaming. My winning is only fake and no truth to it but then it seem true to me...seem too real because I nearly fainted upon knowing that I could win millions through lotto. My exciting and disappointing dreams.

I usually feel sick when I'm nervous, but not when I'm excited. Wow! You should totally make a little video and interview your friend. This is the event of a lifetime...

It is exciting meeting a MyLotter in person! I would have been jumping out of my skin too! The only time I can think of when I have been extremely nervous was when my husband took me to the other side of the country to meet his large family before we got married. We had just become engaged and he thought it would be nice for him and me to jump on a plane and go meet everyone. Being the normally reserved person I am it didn’t take me long to become very overwhelmed and start hyperventilating, it was awful I thought I was going to die because I couldn’t breathe properly. It seems all so absurd now sixteen years later because I know the family so well and I am extremely comfortable with them all. Hope your meeting went well!

No, I don't think I've ever been so excited that I made myself sick. Not that I remember, anyway. I'm sure everything will be all right, though. I'm a musician and I sing before audiences a lot. I'm sure there have been times when I would be so nervous I made myself sick. I remember one time I was so nervous I had to run to the bathroom all the time, lol! I was hoping they wouldn't call on me while I was in the bathroom. Look at it this way and I'm talking to myself as well when I say this. We're all people. I'm sure you and your friend will have a great time together. I think it would be nice if all of us mylotters could get together sometime. Please let us all know how it goes. Kathy.

I always experience something like that once in a while. For example theres going to be an outing next week, i keep on thinking about the said outing and in return i get sick because of the excitement and anticipation.Up until now i still dont know how to cope with the said problem lol
