Hi Mrfdg,
I know you will of course consider everything that a physical house should have and look like. what will make it more appealing if for you and your wife to agree on a motiff. how do you want your interior or even the exterior/facade look like. the motif can be on colors...style like american, japanese, retro, ethnic of depends on your taste and feel. it will surely make it more nice. then it will help you choose what type of furnitures you need to match your motif. good luck please post a picture once it's done okay.

for you to still maintain the kubo concept you can match it with an ethnic touch of motif or style in and outside. imagine it can be a "boracay" house in manila hehehe.

Good Afternoon po, you know why i love my lot, Its because of the people/friends that creates this whole my lot.. my original plan was more of a Kubo outside and inside are 4 bedrooms with concrete walls, now i have changed my mind, the house has become a castle. One more thing, what motif can you suggest, i kinda like simple only.

Apart from the roof and walls. Rooms should be 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms joining bedrooms, rooms should have walk in cupboards and dressing areas. Main bedroom, definately should have a bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and washbasin. Diningroom, openplan kitchen with lots of cupboards, light and space. Living area, everything should be build in from tv to fireplace to entertainment centre. A lot of windows is necessary, you have to have lots of light in the house. A waterfeature need to be in the reception area. One massive thick sleeper wooden offcentre frontdoor. And try to design a doublestory, it is more effecient, epecially if you go green. Enjoy.

Thats very nice idea, actually we have began the construction of the foundations and soon we have to finish up on the house designs. Thanks so such for your Natural Light. As for the solar panels, they cost much here in my country, and will wait for it to come cheaper.

You need to add Plants if you like them they seem to make the house look so much better, I would put like a palm tree a fake one, some real Ivys and some pictures but not too many I always look for the unusual pictures, My mother in law lives in Mexico and she is always sending us cool stuff to hang on the walls we have this Iguans that is crawling on a half of a moon and sun it is hard to explain but it looks so cool hanging on the wall!!

A house should have plenty of storage spaces. I have a cupboard under my stairs, an airing cupboard and a loft. A house should have an attractive garden so the owner can sit and relax when the weather is sunny. A house should have a lounge that is comfortable.

You need a personal touch....a collection display or art or something that is YOU. It's hard to describe but people come into my home and they it's me and fits my personality. Only you can decide what that personal touch would be but it would be what makes your house your home.

How about one of those green roofs where the roof is grass? How about having enough solar cells to generate all the electricity for the house and sell some back to the light company? I have seen houses made from straw bails that came out great.Think green!!They even have insulation made from jeans.

Hello bird, i think i saw that on discovery, but to construct that kind of house requires a big budget, we are not up to that right now, we can have a rooftop garden instead, its included in the house plan. Straw Bails we have a lot of that here n our place, we are actually going to use that for the gazebo. So what am i going to wear if i placed my jeans on the roof,,hahaha just kidding, Thanks so much, your response was very informative, i will try to research on the solar cells if its available here and how much would it cost.

Your house should have an entryway with a closet, a large kitchen for people to gather with an attached dining room (don't forget a big pantry). Your house needs a living area...a great room for people to meet. Your house of course needs bedrooms, baths and closets. I prefer not wasting space with hallways, so you'll need to find room, probably in your bedrooms for linens/sheets/etc. In your house, you'll also need a laundry area (and I have another pantry-type area and bathroom with mine). A closed-in double garage also would be nice. I also have a bar area in my house, but I'd consider that really optional.

Place a garden not only in-front of the house but also just beside your dining room. Where you can see the landscape while eating. Place a terrace outside the master's bedroom. Choose sala & dining room tiles that are shining and smooth. Be sure to place a fire escape in every room. Place a bar in the sala and in the terrace.

Thank you. TATA.
