Hi, Urban!
While I am not a Christian, I am a Jew, as Jesus was. From a religious standpoint, and more so from an ethical standpoint, I 'm sure he would condemn not only the pedophiles, but those who cover up their deeds, most emphatically!

As the old saying goes, you can't stop a bird from landing on your head but you can stop it from building a nest there. Pedophiles can show up anywhere and in every religion. The question is, when they are found out, are they expelled or are they sheltered? What discipline did the Catholic Church mete out to these individuals once the crime was found out?
Jesus would not tolerate pedophiles in his church. They would be quickly expelled. Jesus is loving and forgiving but does not tolerate evil (Read Revelation 3:20-23).
Notice the command on how to deal with unrepentant evildoers that would appear in early Christianity.
1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (New International Version)
9I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

Hi Urbandekay, I really found your post offensive. It seems that you are implying that all Catholics approve of paedophilia and that the Church approves of such things. The reality is very far from what you are trying to depict. The Catholic Church is working and has been working to curb such abuses. However it seems that the Media is only interested to sell newspapers and tarnish the Pope 's reputation. He is an easy target. If you hit the Pope than you are tarnishing the Church's reputation as well. Quite an easy thing to do. Than if the Catholic's church is tarnished her please and stands on abortion and euthanasia will become tarnished and weak too.

I am asking a question and we should never take offence at questions. Nor does anything I say imply approval of Paedophilia by the Roman Church. I am sure most ordinary Catholics are as horrified by the actions of those priests as anyone, however, it does seem to be the case that the hierarchy within the Roman Church has not been sufficiently thorough in dealing with this problem and that the pope has been involved in such denial.
The pope cannot and must not be above criticism he is just another believer the same as you or I, Jesus makes it clear all are brothers none is in authority over another nor any good save God.
The case against euthanasia and abortion stand on their own right and if anything are tarnished by papal denial of the crimes commuted by priests

What would Jesus do when these Catholics turn his father's house into a paedophiles brothel? Is this a question or a statement. For me the way your question is worded it implies that it is a statement.

It is clearly a question, of that there can be no reasonable doubt. But to satisfy your pedantry let me rephrase it.
What would Jesus do faced with the current paedophile scandal to hit the Roman Church and the fact that the pope is implicated?
