do you think lenten season is still religiously celebrated by all christian???

Since birth my family used to go to church during lenten season eating meat is prohibited, singing, dancing, being noisy is also not allowed in our house... my fahter used to say this seaon should be calm days.. i mean everybody is grieving for the death of Jesus that is why nobody everywhere like a silent days or night... I am just wondering if still this practise is still in all heart of christian around the world now that our world is world of technology...

hi esaver, I personally don't think that some catholics or christians celebrates the old ways. Some people tend to go to the beach because they know its a holiday. Some just don't know the real meaning of lenten season. Me and my family, went out on an overnight pilgrimage at a place here in my country.
