My family name "Dimagiba" is very known in this country. Most of the time I hear the family name being used in the movies. As to us and our relatives, we always brag that we belong to the clan of "Dimagiba" meaning strong, cannot be damage, royal blood and a clan of "mestisos and mestisas". How about you do you have anything to say about your family name?

I heard a comical skit about your name, and they translated it to English - "Stronghold". I'm glad you're proud of the name. My maiden name is not very common in the city. I somehow, had negative perception towards it, after my parents got separated. I didn't feel comfortable using it anymore after that incident because it reminds me of the bad memory.

My family name came from Spain. Thanks to one of the Spanish Friars who came into our country. Some cousins are into the movie industry, while others in media and one turned a feisty politician. I just love my family name that until now I have not changed it... because no one ever dared it.LOL

I am glad someone in your family name has done something for your to be able to talk about it. The question is what have you done to measure up to that standard? I played and important role in the Kuwaiti liberation from the Iraq invasion in 1990. I hold a records timing towards a qualifying spot in the NY Marathon, and my name is part of US History. My dad invested the first ever Kerosene stove available in South America.

My family name is famous for a certain doctor who invented a certain kind of supplementary medicine that will cure a lot of diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure and also prevents asthma attacks. So my family name is quite famous for that. My family name when I was single was also famous because it was the family name of the former president of the country.

My maiden name is famous because it's the name of a famous construction magnate in our country. The owner is also a distant relative of mine. My paternal surname is not very famous. In fact we wonder where it came from. There are very few people who has that surname. Everytime I see someone having that surname, I always think that he or she is my relative.
