Do you write? Do you write because you love writing, or do you write because you need to earn more? Personally, I've been considered good in writing since I was a kid. I've written for pleasure ever since, and it's a form of release for me [Check out my blog, http://lorie.feeblesaint.com]. However, I also write for other people, for a living. How about you? Why do you write? And do you love what you're doing?

Hello neny! I write to earn at first.. Staying here in mylot made me realized that it could be fun at the same time. I like writing now because it's the thing I like and I benefit from it...

Hi, so you provide content, as well, yresh? :) Or do you consider discussion here on MyLot as "writing" already? Yes, it IS pretty rewarding. :) I consider the stuff we do here on MyLot as just banter or plain conversation, much like forum conversations. :)

Yeah... But it is much better than forums though.. I haven't really join bukisa or helium if that's what you mean. I think that I'm not good enough to publish articles there...

Both. I write because I enjoy it and I write to make money. If I didn't enjoy it, I'd look for other work. I sometimes write just for fun, or write where there is very little money involved just because I enjoy a little challenge to write something different.

Good to hear. :) Yes, I do enjoy writing as well. Reading your response, I also realized that I write for money to improve my craft. I wonder if that makes any sense. :) But honestly, I'd love to write published books someday. I also admire that you write for charity just to write something different. Do you have links to your work online? Do you mind if I take a look, to appreciate it too? See you around! Thanks for responding!

I think a link to my blog is in my profile. There are links there to some of the places where I write.

When I was a kid, I wrote my thoughts in a diary and made comics stories with illustrations. When I was in college, I served as editor for 3 years in our school paper. And now that I'm all grown, I have unfinished love story manuscripts and I maintain 2 blogs: www.barefootedme.com and www.kcee.info, while I also help my little girl with her own blog www.chesteney.blogspot.com. Writing is very much a part of my life. I write mainly for pleasure, and the fact that I can earn from doing what I love, is just an added bonus.

When I was younger, I wrote some stuff because I just wanted to. Now I write for leisure and because it's my job as well. I'm currently doing web content writing, and on the side, I have my blogs which are my outlets, my forms of release. I love writing, it's a way to get in touch with my creative side and it helps me earn money for my daily living at the same time.

Great answer. :) Yeah, I do that too, but not as much anymore, since I started my day job. But I still do that from time to time, to add to my income. :D Heheh. :D Thanks for answering!

I write just because I love to write. I write stories, novel-length works and a few short fiction pieces. I'd love to be able to make money off of my stories one day, but right now I'm not. I've been making submissions to online magazines and querying literary agents about my novels but so far no luck whatsoever. I won't stop writing even if I never sell a thing. I love writing for writing's sake and not because I can earn anything off of it.

I write for pleasure. It is my way of pouring out myself. I hope that someday I can earn from it.

i have done both and have enjoyed doing both. it is a trip to get paid for something you craft (both art and writing) and have other people pay for it! now i only write for pleasure because i am selling my arts and crafts.

mylot is the only writing job, if you may consider mylot as one. i have to be here as long as i can. i have to be here to earn more. so i have to consider mylot, writing on here as work.

I maintain two blogs, one for monetary reasons and the other one for personal use. I write because that's the only way I get to express what I feel although writing for work sometimes puts a toll on my personal writing, I'm not at all disturbed. when this happens, I try and take a breather and then go back and start writing again.

I write because I can and because it is important to me. I also do it because I am good at it. I hope this doesn't get deleted with the blog link in it, but if it does you will know why. It is better to put a link in your profile.

I write because I love to to do it. I have been writing since I was a little girl. I remember being five years old and asking my mother to write down the stories I made up. We would make books together. I write an advice column, as well as keep a blog (there is a link in my profile if anyone is interested.) I write because I love it, but I am hoping that one day I can make this my profession.

I write mainly for pleasure and nothing else. I have not reached the level of proficiency where I can write for money. I am now in the midst of creating my own blog. Nothing fanciful about it, and I don't expect to earn even a cent from it. LOL!

Writing is an important part in one's life and its style gets better as one goes higher in education, but a s the person starts to earn his style of writing almost disappears. As for people whose profession is writing, their style of writing gets better and better as they go higher in their profession. I feel that professional writing gets better if it has a narrative aspect to it, a narration is always a better way of conveying a news. A narration always attracts people irrespective of the topic on which the narration is about say it is about Harry Potter or it tells u about a thesis on metaphysics or anything else.

When I was a child I wrote for fun, I got a great feeling for what I did. now I mainly write for living. I have a few review websites where I can post my articles to make some money. Although the money is too slim to make living, but it's better than nothing. especially now I write in English. it's a good way for me to develop my skill in the language. I wish one day I can make real money by my writing.

I write for both fun and earning. I like writing even when I'm still a kid. I think it's good when you are paid for doing what you love :D

I like to keep a diary or write some special stories. But I don't write it everyday.I just write when I want .I do wish what I write can make money, but it seems impossible.Never mind cause I think writing it's really a good way to relax myself and I can write the words which I can't say it out. It's a pleasure for me to write.
