Honor every battle

There are so many rebellions and abttles in history that it's impossible for me to list them all. Even the smallest stands, I cannot. We honor certain abttles every year and I jsut have to wonder why we only honor some while others whie as much if not greater significance have anniversaries almost every day of the year. Why do we do this? Is it because some are more current or that we know peopel in some and not others?

Hi, Artsy! Things pass in and out of favor, and those battles and the people we honor aren't necessarily the same ones who were honored in years past. What causes this is that our country changes constantly, and the ideas that hit home with legislators who decide what is to be honored and what is not, change, too. If there's a special place in your heart for a particular commemoration, let your legislators know, and make a major fuss about it, so they'll be responsive!
