Easy way to slim down. Have you heard of it?

Hi everyone, I just read that if you drink a tall glass of water (not sodas or coke) before each meal, you´ll soon start losing weight. I will try it from today on: there´s nothing to lose and much to earn. In al diets and health articles they talk about the 8 glasses of water a day. I never counted that much. But I wouldn´t mind drinking that amount of water. How about trying it with me and comparing notes? Had you heard about it before? Sixteen pounds less would mean a gift for me of at least 5 or 6 jeans that don´t fit anymore. Luck and let´s drink to slimming.

The best recipe to lose weight and stay healthy is diet and exercise. Make sure to eat foods from the whole food pyramid. Exercising may hurt initially but the end result if one can get there is a healthy sexier body. The most important thing with any of these techniques is to stick with them. What I prescribed is the basic way to lose weight and stay fit. Good luck!

This is my own discovery and that is to skip dinner. I have some snack in the evening and a bowl of soup in the night with some fruit and hot milk. This has given me the desired results. Try it.

Thanks for this valuable information about how to go about slimming down. I nearly lost my life in a severe blood loss last year shortly after my baby daughter was born. I have found it challenging to get back to normal size after pregnancy. I look fatter than a lady I know that is four months pregnant. I wish I could loose 10 to 20 kilos of weight my dear friend. Hug.

Hi maxine, How about starting today and telling each other if it works? I imagine we have to let a week go by to check. I´m also asking my therapist to tell me of tummy exercises that I much need. She´s a sweetie so she´ll teach me free as soon as I can do them. She told me she would teach me some while at the floor and with a latex belt like thing (don´t know the name in English). That way my back would not suffer.

Yes, but I think there are some other conditions to this weight-loss trick. First of all, you have to be substituting the glass of water for whatever else you were going to drink (Soda, juice, or whatever), and second of all you have to drink it before your meal so that it will fill your stomach. When you drink water before a meal you will feel full faster and not eat as much. I think it's a pretty good simple weight-loss tip, but of course that alone won't help you lose dozens of pounds.

Im at 78 too. I am tall so it doesn´t show SO much, but I can´t wear my last year´s pants and jeans. I´m starting today with the water. It won´t hurt. Take care and let´s hope it works.

Now drinking water helps us to be slim..that's good .From now on even I will start drinking 8 glasses of water regularly.I believe drinking a lot of water will reduce our craving for food and therefore we will intake less calories.At the same time water will give a fillip to our metabolism and that will help us to get rid of the extra calories too.

I aways imagine those 8 glasses and say it´s too much. But maybe if I drink one before each meal, then Ill get the others in between meals.. Keep us posted on your results

I've heard this also. It definitely helps to drink lots of liquids and eat foods with high water content like salads, soups, fresh fruits and veggies. They fill you up without taking in too many calories.

Hi Marg, I have heard about water being so good for u in so many ways. i DON'T DRINK MUCH JUST WATER BUT I DO DRINK ALOT OF ICE TEA. rECKON THAT HELPS?? LOL. I know u are going to say no.i have been drinking tomato juice for a snack instead of eating something. That fills u up pretty good. Happy days to u.

It's filling that's alli know. I use sweetner in my tea. Never earned to like it or coffee w/out something in it. I'm sorry u gained the weight. That's the pits.

I love tomato juice, Jo. I don´t know if it helps, but I´m not about to lose my quality of life and you shouldn´t either, if you can help it. Don´t put sugar in your iced tea. I don´t know if it will make you slim, but it will not fatten you. I gained 20 pounds after I quit smoking

Hi Marguicha, I am doiong it but not only 1 glass of water but 4 glasses of water and two spoonful of honey before any meal in the morning. i am losing weight but i am also doing gym workouts and exercises. it will help friend. so let's compare notes after a month my dear. goodluck!

well, science said that the minimum we must consume is 8 glasses of water per day, becuase helps us to eliminate bad things inside our body.. also is the base of any kind of diet, so this should be help us! hahah have a nice day!

well there is another thing for slimming down. u can have a glass of warm water mixes with a bit of honey and lime first thing in the morning to lose weight! :)i think drinking water before every meal is a way of keeping us full, so that we don't eat much! :) but that's not gonna work! we would eat lot of snacks later on right!?? lolz :)

I'll drink to that. Sorry... just couldn't resist. I've heard of this before and I do drink a lot of water, but I'm not sure it's helped me lose weight. I've lost a few pounds, but I think it's from more exercise more than anything else. Let us know how it works for you.

thanks for the info i will try it. maybe it can help me to loose some weight. i'm trying to loose some weight by walking/jogging every morning. so if drinking a glass of water will help too. i will loose weight faster than expected then :)

Yes, I've heard this. Doctors tell us that we should drink at least 6 to 8 8 oz. glasses of water a day. I went to a urologist years ago who told me to do this because I was having a lot of bladder problems back then. I still tend to get urinary tract infections a lot but I think it helps. As far as losing weight is concerned, I think it's good to drink an 8 oz. glass of water before each meal. That way, you will get full faster and you won't eat as much. Kathy.

I will try it as it won´t hurt but it could help. Everywhere I read about the 8 glasses of water a day. I find this too much but drinking a glass before each meal (I eat 4 meals usually) is no problem. And maybe I could try to remember to drink a bit more between meals. Happy posting!

see mam,in india now days very hot summer. we dont even enough to drink 8 glasses,it is more than 40 degree cellisius. what can we do, so hot on sun today.

Hi! Well, i will try this advice. I think i always reached 8 glasses of water everyday, but my weight still there or maybe i didnt noticed it . I think i have to reduce my eating too much. Thanks for the advice. Have a nice day!!

It would help if you reduce the amount of food, I am sure. It would help me too. I suppose we will have to do both things. Maybe the water helps get a full stomach feeling. take care!

It said a big glass before each meal. I hope it works. Içm adding a bit of lemon juice to my water. No sugar though.
