Do you believe horse racing is a cruel sport ?

Is horse racing really a cruel sport. Today , Easter Monday there is horse racing at numerous courses across the country, including Redcar, Chepstow, Yarmouth to name a few. Alot of people think this sport is very cruel on the horses, especially over jumps. I personnally dont bel;ieve it to be a cruel sport as you just have to look how well the horses are trained before the races. The best of food, the best of exercise, the best of everything really. Yes sadly race horses can get hurt, but, so can anyone involved in sports, including football, rugby, motor racing , skiing etc. Everyone has there own views on this, What are yours ?
