Hello to all! I felt so depressed last December 23, 2009 when I lost the very first significant thing that I bought with my first job’s salary-my cell phone! The sad part about it is that it has been stolen from my purse while shopping for x’mas gifts. I never realized that someone already took it because there lots of people in the place. It’s not that expensive but I worked hard for it. It’s been with me for three years and I could say that it’s performance is still the same so I’m really sad to let it go that way. But I have no choice right now but to move on and be cautious all the time..=) How about you guys have lost something that’s really valuable to you? What did you feel? Thanks and God Bless to all..=)

yes and i guess everyone will feel bad if they lost something expensive. last year i lost my laptop, actually someone took it from my room and i dont know how coz theres two many tenants in that area though i already left there. and i believe that if you lost something you will also get something more better than the one you lost. so after i lost my laptop which is just a local brand then right now i already have a new HP slim laptop and i got it for a very cheaper price.

That really stinks that someone stole your cell-phone! People are stupid that way. :( When I was in elementary school we had this project where we had to invent something. Our inventions and our display boards detailing our inventions were put out in the hallways where all the kids of every grade and class could see them. I invented a portable container for necklaces that would keep them from tangling. I had put a few necklaces in to demonstrate, and they were all necklaces that belonged to my mother. There were really worthless except for some major sentimental value and my mother had only let me take the necklaces because they fit so well and she wanted me to get a good grade. All three were stolen right out of my display while it sat in the hall and I never got them back. I felt really frustrated with the lack of concern displayed by the teachers, guilt for having lost something important to my mom (though she did forgive me and told me not to worry about it), and really like someone had violated my safe-haven. Once again, people are stupid that way. :(

Yeah I agree with you..I could easily accept if it was all my fault like dropping it somewhere =( They are losers I should say..so sad that you have lost something important to your mom..but at least it taught us to be more aware of the people around us..that even if we are too careful it is still possible to happen.. Thanks and God Bless..=)

The valuable items that I have lost that have made me really depressed are my jewelry. I have lost so much jewelry because I had to either pawn or sell them due to hard times. And like your cell phone, these items were bought from my salary and some were even bought on lay-away terms. For the items that were pawned, I tried to get them back but could not because of the high interest fees that were placed on them. So I had to let go of these valuable items, and for a time felt depressed.

Yes, I have. Two things pop into mind. The first was this Seiko watch that I got as a gift from my parents for graduating from 8th grade. The clasp was loose and I was meaning to get it fixed but never had a chance. I never even noticed when the clasp came loose and slid off my wrist. Another item was this gold bracelet that my parents bought for me for my 16th birthday. I lost it when I went to the lake one day. I was extremely depressed both times after the incident. I felt really bad because not only were they really expensive items but they were gifts from my parents. That makes things tougher because my parents aren't really the type to shower their kids with expensive gifts so those meant a lot to me.

I remember loosing things that my parents gave me as well and I understand that it's really depressing. The sentimental value is a very big factor unlike when it's just plain expensive-you just can replace it anytime.. Thanks and God Bless..=)

Well I accidentally dropped one of my favorite pairs of earnings down the sink drain once and couldn't get them out that was really disappointing. Its never a good feeling to lose anything especially things you worked hard for or saved for and waited months to get I rarely lose things but once in blue moon it dose happen.

I hate to lose or miss something. It is kind of okay with me if I destroy something, but it is difficult for me to take it when I lose something. Once I lost my earring in a train station and I searched for a long time, but I could't get. It was my Dad's present and I felt very sad about missing it. Once somebody has stolen my purse in a bus and I was very sad because the purse had a lot of moeny.

I have lost a lot of valuable and expensive things over the years. Sometimes it is all my fault because I was careless or forgetful. Other times, it really was not. Some of the most expensive things I have lost in the past five years were a piece of earring, a ring, a necklace, and a cellphone. The first three were entirely my fault. I forgot them. The last was stolen from me.

Yes, I lost my diamond ring. It was lil' loose besides I wore it and accidentally lost it somewhere. I don't know where but I was just lost. When I returned home I realized that I have no diamond ring in my finger. It was the precious thing my husband has gifted me on my birthday. I still remember the design and I loved that ring so much but may be it was not in my destiny and I lost it. It was very precious for me and costly too. That was the first ever thing I lost in my life. I feel really very bad but I can't help it. It was all my fault.

A few years ago I lost the last gift that my late husband had bought for me. It was s ring. I don't even know how I lost it. I can't remember seeing it fall off my finger. I have searched every conceivable place for it. It is just gone forever. Of all the items that I had to lose, why did it have to be somethibg so precious and irreplacable?

Yeah I have lost something valuable and valuable to me and I felt awful when I realized it. I lost my first engagement ring that my husband gave to me. I tore apart my office at work. Looked around outside the building, etc. But where was I working? Chicago, so no chance of finding it. I didn't want to tell him. But he was understanding which helped some. But I still felt terrible!

It stinks that someone stole your phone; but look at the bright side since you have had it for so long you should be eligible for a free or discounted phone from your phone company. Over the years I have lost several things of importance to me. The worst thing I ever lost was a pearl ring. Not that it was extremely valuable but the fact that I had gotten it when we went to Sea World. We did the thing where they dive to the bottom of the tank and bring up oysters with pearls in them. I had selected this one oyster and it had 2 pearls in it. So my mom and I had gotten matching rings.

Yes it really stinks! grrrr.. Yeah someone told me that "your phone said goodbye to you because you need to replace it with something new"-well I just held on to that idea..=) Sometimes it's not the price that's really hurts but the sentimental value of it..I would be very sad to lost such ring with good memories either..But don't worry there will be something better in return..=) Thanks and God Bless..=)

The same as you the most valuable thing that I lost was my cellphone way back in College. It was very valuable because it was the latest version during that time, brand new and most of all it was a Christmas gift to me by my parents. I never thought that they would buy me that phone. It was also an advanced Graduation gift. However, I lost it in just three months while I was riding a public transportation. My shoulder bag was slashed. The thief left my old phone and just took the new one. I felt so depresses. I didn't know how to tell my parents about it. I know my father worked hard just to save and buy that phone for me.
