Do you ever add music for another person's benefit??

I sometimes find myself adding music to my playlist and IPod that I dont neccessarily like just so that otehr people will liek ti when they listen to my IPod or because other people listen to it. Im trying to stop this trait of mine but it's difficult. Do you ever do it? What do you think about this habit?

I've never added a song that I didn't like period, but I've added songs that I kinda like that I wouldn't have bought unless I knew people who really loved that song. "Fireflies" by Owl City is one. I think the song is kinda cute, but I really wouldn't have gotten it if I was only thinking about myself. Some of my friend really love this song, so I got it so we would have something we could listen to together because there are a lot of popular songs they love that I really hate.
