A funny question - Have you ever thought whether you like your name or not?

I personally do not like my name that much, what about you? Have you ever thought about this? Maybe you would like to change it, maybe you shorten it...

I like my name enough. It's common. I have two first names actually and I favor the first one better. I don't like my other girlier name. I just don't think it suits me. I'm actually having a bit of a difficulty choosing a name for my future kids and I'm not sure if I like the names my boyfriend is proposing. Then again since I have no better suggestion and I do believe my kids will be free from any social awkwardness resulting from their names I am OK with it. I never got into trouble with name. At least not until you count the fact that one time I had 2 other girls who had the same name as I do in one class and we had to be addressed by our last names for a whole year.

Well, I like my nick name which everyone calls me by, the thing is I don't like my real name. I wouldn't change it because then I wouldn't have my nick name of Bobbi. It just fits me I feel. When I named my children I thought about that also. Would they like it when they became adults. All three girls actually like their names, I am happy for that. My sister she changed her first name legally, lol, she took her middle name as her first name. Some people just feel this way is all. If it is that strong then check into what it would take to change it.

No i did not like my name. It was given to me by my parents who loved each other so much they combined their names and made it to become mine. agh! It just sounds strange...i grew up hearing classmates and people say "what's your name again"? and it just annoyed me. I just had it changed legally but kind of close to what my parents gave me so I won't feel too bad about it as they both passed away already. Now everytime someone asks me how i pronounce my name they just say it sounds Hawaiian. Well at least they don't think it sounds strange anymore. lol

Yes I thought about this when I choose a name for my child. I like my name and I don't want to change it. But there are some really weird names that can make a person feel uncomfortable to tell his own name.

I like my name a little bit, since it can be used over age, since some names are just for kids or just for old peopls. My name is 3 letters, I wouldn't shorten it either ;) Have a nice day!
