Creating your own style. / myLot

I like to make my own clothes and do my own designs. For that I need inspirtation and a guru (of sorts) for my style. I base mine off of fairies and egyptian and the latest fashions and just what I see that I like. What bout you? What's your fashion icon or style or type?

I think 50's style and 80's style is really inspiring, and I love Audrey Hepburn, and the girls on the show Gossip Girl. But the most inspiring thing is just people that I see in the streets, or on streetstyle websites online. Good luck with your designs by the way, that's so cool! I wish I could do that too!

i am pretty creative so i like to dress well, differently so to that end, i generally shop at thrift stores and discount stores. i work in an office so i wear a lot of jackets. my favourite one is a bright blue one that i paid $3- for!
