I found this out saturday. My second oldest nephew and his wife want to be foster paretns. Probaly with children under 10 years old. They have been through the paper work and other stuff. They hope they can be and then in the future adopt a child. I think this is a great idea and they are great people! I hope they can do this! So many kids need good foster homes! I know my nephew and his wife would be great foster parents!

Well, I sure hope they make it blue65packer, since you're so sure they'll be great foster parents, and they can adopt one day as well.
I agree with you, there are so many kids who need foster homes and proper care... children should be happy and well taken care of all over the world, I'm glad to know there are people without kids of their own who are willing to give their hearts to do so.

It is excellent news that your nephew and his wife wish to become foster parents. One of my friends is a foster carer. Since I have known her she has cared for some lovely children. I remember two sisters she cared for that had similar names. One was called Anne Marie and the other was called Marie Anne. They were adopted to a loving couple. I remember a little baby girl that my friend fostered. Her birth mother was a teenager that couldn't cope. She was adopted to a caring couple that has always dreamed of having a baby. Sometimes children are fostered for a short time. I know another foster carer that looked after a little boy. The boy's mother was going through a difficult time and she needed a rest. Yes, so many kids need a foster parent and it must be ever so rewarding. Good luck to your nephew and his wife.

I know some children are in foster care for a short time and some longer. I know of a girl who was put in foster care by her parents along with her brother. They spent most of their lives in foster care until they were both 18 years old. I know if my nephew and his wife become foster parents it will be very rewarding!

Good for them! It takes more to be a foster parent then even to be an adoptive parent, because when you look after these little ones for any length of time, one has to hide the tears when they go back, sometimes to an abusive relationship. It also hurts when the government thinks that an evil birth parent is much better then good foster parents. I have never been a foster parent, because I could not bear loosing them, but I am sure that you nephew and his wife are such that the children they are caring for will become better for the times they are with them.
I wish your nephew and his wife good luck and I know they would be good foster parents.

I know it is had to become a foster parent and the hardest part is when the foster children leave! I know my nephew's wife will have more of an issue then him but they can handle it! I hate hearing stories of foster kids going back to their real parents only to find out it was wrong thig to do!
