Doing Better Through Freelance Jobs

Philippines

Hi everyone, I just feel great right now and I am happy. The buyer who hired me through freelancer.com decided to give me another job, so I am working 2 projects at the same time now! He also increased my hourly pay! I just feel so blessed right now and it inspires me to do better in the tasks that he gives me. I am also thankful that God gave me a kind person to work with. Hope everyone in here would be able to get the jobs they are looking for.

Hi, friend. That's really great. Congratulations! The employer must have been very impressed with your work. You succeeded in obtaining a second job depending on your own effort. I just want to say you deserve it. Keep going! Best wishes!

Hi. I have a full-time job as a college teacher so i can't spare much time to earn online. Currently, Mylot is the only money making site i'm working on, and i really enjoy my time here. Take care!

Thank you chenxiaoyue_713 for your kind words. I am glad too that He hired me for another job and it inspires me to do better with both projects. How about you what are you up to? Any money making sites that you are joining too?

Not yet although I did send one application online to an editing job offer. But it's okay since I have a regular job anyway. I just wanted to give way to my personal desire to write. MyLot is already giving me that pleasure since last week. I spend at least two hours daily (before I go to bed) on Mylot and find it really satisfying to be able to voice out myself on interesting topics. Only sometimes, I post comments quite a few hours after since I only have time to go online at night. :)

Congratulations on landing another assignment through the same guy. I am sure if you do even better he'll consider you first in the future. Good luck to you and have fun working!

thank you Cowgirl! I am really giving it my very best, I believe that when you give the best it pays off in the end. Chances are your present employer can even recommend you to his other colleagues and give you a raving work recommendation, in the end you reap the rewards. You reap what you sow.

Congratulations to you Candy! I would also like to work as a freelancer. The problem is, there doesn't seem to be much opportunity for me because here in my country it's hard to work as such. I hope I would soon find the job that I want.

Hi angela, We are from the same country gurl! Just change you perception that it's hard to get a job online. If you want I can help you with it. There are many freelance jobs online but you gotta be patient, really patient because there are good opportunities that may pass you by but then when you persevere you will get a good break. I used to be discouraged because I joined many survey sites that were recommended by other people and it did not work for me. I tried something else that will work for me and that's freelance jobs, figure it will be hard to rely on survey sites because they do not do much for companies from other countries, but freelance job hires anyone from anywhere!

what is this frelance job about? is it writing articles? pls brief me on it thanks candy :)

Nope Khalida it is not writing articles, just copy pasting items from a data bank and entering it into the website back office. That is all I do and it's pretty easy. Although in the site I joined in there are a lot of job positions available including data entry.

Kudos to you!!! If you don't mind may I please know how much you are making per month with freelancer.com? You can maybe give us ballpark figure. Thanks and more power!

Well for some it may not be that much but for me it's something. for this simple copy paste project I get paid on the hours I work. I just work 3 hours in a day and get paid around $400 plus in a month. If I work longer hours I get more but I have other things to do online so I give it 3 hours only. If I convert it to my currency it's a whole lot of money for a job that I do only for 3 hours!

I've considered trying to get started in freelancing, but I really don't know anything about it and thus don't even have a clue as to where to start with that. So, I haven't gone there yet. I'm certainly glad to hear that you are having the kind of luck that you are with the freelancing. If you don't mind too much, could you please send me a PM about what I should do to get started with freelancing as I'd love to earn more than I am right now.

That's cool, if you're happy, that's all that matters. By the way, some people can't get work as a freelancer... simply because some people are greedy. Good luck !

I don't think its about being greedy, some buyers rehire the same people because they are impressed with the work. Also its about feedback...when you are new its kinda hard to get jobs because most often than not buyers would look at your feedback if you have 0 feedbacks it's a gamble for the buyer to trust you with their projects and its up to them to give you a shot. I waited for some time before I had this break.
