is acme-people-search a true paying site or just another scam.please help

hi friends just registered with acme people search and completed the 1st step a friend said me that its completely free to join and to earn money there but when i approached for second step it asked me to register with gdi which costs 10$/month and gives a seven day trial and then again in third step they would charge some 25$/month and on that they are giving 30 days trial but when it came to registering with gdi its asking paypal account and saying they wont charge till seven days but stll i was told that its free before registering so how can i beleive that now they are speaking truth. and if they are true then why gdi only it should be our choice on which hosting site we want to host our search engine i have hosted it for free on www.searchus.tk you can check it out .tk is a free domain then why should i pay for one please reply friends i am waiting for your advices thanx in advance
