Recently, a young Chinese man, Lin Yu Chun was videoed singing a pitch-perfect version of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" on a Taiwanese reality show. He is so successful, that he's now being named as the "Chinese Susan Boyle". Susan Boyle the Scottish singing sensation, who shocked the judges of "Britain's Got Talent" and the world with her perfect rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" almost exactly a year ago, and now, Lin Yu Chun has come seemingly out of nowhere. As this video rolls around the world on the Web (the video already has over 150,000 views, and searches for "Lin Yu Chun" have gone up over 200% in the past 24 hours), expect to see this guy become an international sensation. Have a look and give your comments. Most of all enjoy and be delighted! Saw his latest performance - 1st. in the States - Lopez Show.. WOW!!.. He really can sing.. i'd say that he's even BETTER than Susan Boyle because - he is not a 'English' Native Speaker.. and yet, he sings so well..

4mymak, He is really an awesome singer with great potentials and I wish that he would win the talent competition show in Taiwan, China. I really hoped that some recording companies in the States or Europe would consider him as I just do not see his prospect promising in Asia.

That is absolutely amazing. I figured from the great review that you'd written that it was going to be good. However, I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would be quite that good. As I was listening I got the chills because it was so close to the original version. I believe that Lin Yu Chun probably does have a future in music and I wish him all the luck in the world at achieving that. Anyone that can sing like that should have a future.

dorannmwin, I agree with you that this singer is indeed awesome and coming from a Chinese is really a feat. However, I feel that his future prospect as singer of English songs in Taiwan will not be as promising as where he might be in United States.

HelloMickey, Well, I have to say that this Taiwanese contestant is one heck of a singer and I really hope that he will win this talent competition to launch into the entertainment world. Also, I am actually hoping that the recording companies in the States especially would pick him out and launch his singing career. No offense, I just do not see any promise in the Asian side which is more towards the Mandarin language or Cantonese dialect markets. As for Whitney, it is just sad to learn that her Australia concert tour was a failure due to her poor health.

I never listen to her songs coz her appearance reminds me of Yao Ming of the Rockets and she acts as a tomboy.

CeraSumat, I am sorry but I just do not get what you mean here. Who looks like Yao Ming? Who is the tomboy?

lol ,i think you guys were talking about different singer! CeraSumat must have made a mistake, who he/she talked about must be Li Yu Chun,a supergirl from Hunan TV!

yunlaa2008, I am sure CeraSumat has mistaken this singer for another person since all the Chinese names in English are about the same. However, just a side note, I don't think the super girl from Hunan TV (Li Yu Chun) looks anything like the Chinese NBA basketball star - Yao Ming. I mean, really? I just don't think so.
