Who can tell me waht's the meaning of "shadow you"

In the "old days"...being shadowed meant that you were being followed. However, in the context of what your friend said in an e-mail, I would suspect that they meant that they would, or will follow, in doing whatever you do. In a sense...copy whatever you do. cdrxo

I don't know what your friend meant but when my son was in school they had what they called shadowing where they would go to someone's workplace that they were interested in & stay the day seeing how the buisness worked. Why didn't u ask your friend what they meant?

The only time I have heard this term used is when someone was training me as a waitress and wanted an experienced waitress to stand a close distance behind me, like a shadow to watch what I did and make sure i was following orders.

it depends to the rest of the email, like if it contains more about helping you then it means that the person will always just right beside you once you need help. but if the email contains of anger then it means that he will look after you

I believe it means he will follow your every move. Not exactly your every movement. I really don't know how he said it to you. You're gonna have to figure this one out.

Sounds like that person was politely saying they had the desire to stalk you. To shadow, usually refers to the verb to fallow. Our shadows fallow us, so when one person says they are going to "shadow" another it means fallow them closely.

silindaxu I w ould think twise about this friend, shadowing someone is following them around like a shadow, ie stalking and stalking can turn really bad, Nope I wou ld not want a friend who was going to shadow mw around,stalking is something really s cary and you do not want someont to stalk you, they send your gifts, they watch your every move, they call all the time and get nasty if you will not answer, I was stalked and when I refused the stalks ring and proposal he turned deadly. tried to choke me but two waiters in the cafe jerked him off me, I got a restraining order againt the stalking romeo then daddy sent him off to an Aunt back in New Jersy or he would have faced attempted murder charges from me. no no shadows thank you so much.

for me its like his make assurance that he will help you or will not leave you if you need help. your lucky for that then. its also means of protecting you something like that. better read his whole email and check if other words will support the answer of the i will shadow you.
