Should myLot have a 'thumbs up thumbs down' system like youtube?

Just been looking at some discussions and thought myLot may be better with a thumbs up thumbs down system so you could rate the discussion itself, and it's replies, which could inturn earn more for the best answer?
I'm sorry if there's already a system like this on here, I'm very new and am trying to get invovlved and get peoples views.

The point is, if one reads the FAQs and guidelines before they post (as they are supposed to) there would be no need for help on these matters. In fact, I would argue I was more helpfull than anyone else because not one other person even mentioned the existence of the FAQs, which answer these and many other issues quite nicely.

shoeface, suggesting you read the FAQs and guidelines is actually one of the nicest things a fellow myLot member can do for you, and I'm going to tell you why:
The better you know the FAQs and guidelines (and Terms of Use too) the more you'll make here.
Really.
Many members reach payout each month and I can tell you that the ones who do are very familiar with them. I'm sure they could attest to what I've said.

MyLot has + and - rates, so while you're reading other members responces, you can give them "+" or "-". 
You also can press the " ! " button if discussion is violating the rules.

we do have our + and -
they affect the individual posters rating, displayed in the star by their name.
but I agree that it would be good to be able to see how many pluses and minuses an individual post has received, like on some newspaper article comments sections.

hi welcome to mylot and no no no no.mylot is unique it doesnt need changing. lets leave it alone,its not youtube and people often misjudge and abuse the thumbs up thumbs down crap. lets just enjoy it the way it is as a newcomer and as Alice herself suggested the best help we older ones can give you new comers is to tell you to read all the great mylot admins information for yourself so you understand it i n your owm mind, my just giving you the rules will not help as I have not memorized them and might goof so go read them for yourself, this advice is really well meant and not a scold at all.

I think it should be.. a thumbs up and thumbs down system like youtube.. i think it may more interesting if these systems are in mylot.. have a nice day and kep mylotting always..
