CNSNews.com) – Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D.-Fla.) is insisting that the new health care law she voted for last month does not mandate that individuals buy health insurance, despite language in the law that plainly says otherwise. http://cnsnews.com/news/article/63885 Do you suppose she STILL has not read it?

Chances are, if DWS's lips are moving...she's lying. I doubt she read the bill...she probably had someone else read it and summarize the parts that were actually read.

DWS knows what's in the bill; heck, she was instrumental in the deal making behind close doors. Bottom line, she's trying to twist the words to save her seat. Her constituents aren't buying it.

Maybe she thinks she is like the Secretary of HHS who said that if it isn't in the law then we will still do it. Or maybe she thinks she is like one of her other colleagues who can't be bothered to follow the constitution. I think the (D) after her name means DUMB.

She probably read the part about the penalty fee (which, despite dressing it up as a "tax" or "assessment fee", that's what it is). She's simply refusing to see it as forcing the citizens to buy insurance, otherwise that puts her in a bad spot. She's trying to re-write something to make herself look better, and she's only going to make herself look worse. The government assumes that if you don't have health insurance, you'll become a burden on the state. Washington can bite me. I pay all my medical bills even WITHOUT insurance, and I know I'm not the only one doing it. Regardless if we pay or not, we're still going to be expect to pay hundreds every year for not having insurance, and on top of that still owe money to the hospitals. Strange thing to make us do to pay for government oversight, don't you think?

Im with you! I pay as I go. If I cant afford the boob job, I just dont get it! I find insurance is such a scam anyway. If you saved and invested that money, you would be able to pay yourself. If people were paying docs themselves, trust me, the bill would be a WHOLE lot lower.

Maybe she means it like the law doesn't really mandate that I only go a maximum of 65 miles per hour on the interstae, I just have to be ok with paying the fine for it. Or that the IRS doesn't REALLY mandate that I pay taxes on my income...as long asI pay the fines for it. Do you supose thats what she meant?

I suppose she might not have read it yet but my guess is, even if she did, she's lying.
