I am helping a friend to post here. She is looking to get a piano and am wondering if the Kawai BS-3A is a good piano or not. Has anyone used that model before? Or at least the brand? Anywhere I can go to get reliable reviews of the piano in question? Any help or advise is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Hello ahgong As far as I know, Kawai is okay, I used it when I was small and I don't find any problem of their pianos.

Hello ahgong Go to the shop directly, it is the best way to test the piano, and there are so many pianos in the shop that you can find there's a wide range of price. You can find pianos in your friend's price range that he/she can afford. And Kawai is not that much expensive. By the way, used piano can be good as well.

The next time you think "teach me piano" after hearing an amazing piano player, replace that thought with "practice". We need to practice frequently or when we have the time for it to create solid habits. The habits we create are what will guide us subconsciously while playing. When you can hold a conversation with someone while playing the piano with both hands, will be the time you will notice the pow of this. Practice enough so it sinks in enough to become part of your subconscious process.
