Well, as I have told you all before. Frisky has Feline Leukemia, and it is finally getting worse. I had to clean him up today because he has been having massage diarrhea and vomiting.
The vet told me that he would have at least two to three more years, but I don't think that he knew what he was talking about.
I have been giving Frisky medication, I have been making feel as comfortable as possible and I even gave him some cat nip to make him feel as comfortable as I cam make him. He has many comfortable places to sleep, he always has a clean litter box, and I feel like nothing I do for him is enough.
He is almost 14 years old, he will be 14 on April 21, and I know his birthday so well because I was there when he was born. He was the first cat that I have ever own. He is also the first cat that I have had to live this long. It is hard for me to part with him because he is literally like my child.
Frisky's mother and sister both died of feline leukemia. His mother and sister were not my cats, they were my friend's cats. My friend had the mother since she was a kitten, and I saw her grow up, and then become a mother. My friend called me when her cat went into labor. I went to the house as fast as I could, and there was my new kitten in front of me. I told my friend before the kittens were born that one of them would be mine, and Frisky was the chosen one.
I have three other cats from different litters. My other cats have been tested. They are all negative. Frisky is the only one who has this disease.
I know that I am going to have to put him down, but I am just wishing for more time. I just wanted more time... *crying*

Poor Frisky, I know how it hurts to lose a beloved pet. Its like ripping a piece of your heart out. But sometimes its better to let them go rather than holding on until they just pass - I can understand why people feel that way about their beloved family members, but I also understand why we shouldn't help human's die, because some decide too soon, because things can get better.
So, if you think that its time, and you think your vet is just trying to make more money while Frisky suffers, then it probably is time to let him quietly slip this earthly shell and move on to the Bridge where he will once again be healthy and happy.

I don't want Frisky to suffer, and none of this is about money for me. I just don't want to see him go, but I know that he is suffering, and that kills me inside.

This is my first one. He's my alpha cat. I have never ever had to put my cats down.

Most vets recommend anymore if they have feline lukimia to put them down right away so you don't get too attached. The deaise is devesating for the animal and usually is very rappid. I know putting him down doesn't sound all that appealing, but I'd do it sooner then later. But, you've gotten fourteen years out of him which is a lot more then most people get with a cat with that disorder. And they can live to be about 18, to twenty. depending on how healthy they are. So "frisky" has had a long life.

I know that he has lived a long life, but it kills me to have to do this. I don't want to do this, but I have to.
