Was Bioshock 2 A Disappointment?

I never was really much into the first Bioshock although I played it but I knew it was a big hit to alot of gamers. For me personally they seemed too similar when playing the first Bioshock when compared to Bioshock 2 but I didn't play either that much. Were you disappointed with the sequel?

I will rate it 8 out of 10. It's a good game but not that great. Nothing new, there is no big innovation from its predecessor. I played and finished it.

My take on this is that bioshock 2 was released at the times that great games was still at its peak like the Modern Warfare 2. If you check the online user, MW2 has a millions of player. Then there was the release of Mass Effect 2, one of the most anticipated games and then comes the Battlefield Bad Company 2. I think it just losses to the stiff competition against other good games.
