Country Living or City Living?

I might say I'm more into country living, I love fresh air and the sounds of birds chirping at night. I tried the city life but, I am not more into honking sound of the bus at night. If given a choice, where do you want to live? In a city or in a country? why?

I would love a country living because of the serenity it offered. I want my family to enjoy the beauty of nature especially my daughter who loves to play. I would like birds to wake me up every day not the honking sounds of different vehicles just like what you've said. I really wanted and dreamed for it, hope this dream will come true. Have a nice day karlle

In the country. I love nature. I don't particularly love cities, except to visit once in a while.

I don't like living in the City either but I have no other choice as it all boils down to finance! I would love to live in the countryside, I really crave some of that peace and quiet! Where I live I have one row of houses behind me and then it's nothing but pure forest! I guess this is as close to the countryside as I am going to get! I do have a river close to me and when I cycle for half hour along the river path this does take me into the countryside and I can then relax for a short while and release any cobwebs that have built up! I think that wildlife and nature is very nice. In the countryside when it's dark, it's really dark! You can gaze up into the sky and see all the bright stars! However, in the City you cannot see any stars as a result of all the lights coming from the lamp posts! I would love to escape out of the City forever and just live in peace and solitude! Oh well, at least I get to release these thoughts as a result of your discussion! Andrew

i would like to stay in country living when i get a certain age. i love fresh air and everything about country living especially the society. but now as a young people, i prefer to stay at city, because it is more energetic and more challenging. a lot of thing that we can do and find in the city living, yeah.. that also a lot of stress. but i still like to find something new.

I'm also into country living, and how i miss our nature's beauty and peacefulness, while life in the big city is very stressful and tiring specially to the ones living in the lower class. When I finished my studies, I want to live near the sea or maybe in a farm and spend my life there.

i love the wider spaces and the green sceneries offered by the rural area. i lived in the city for about 3 years and all i see there are buildings, vehicles emitting pollution, and its too crowded.

i've lived in th country all my life really, was born in the city but we only lived there for about 6 months. i enjoy the freedom we have out here, where most the time we can't hear our neighbours, unles the wind is in wrong direction and we can hear them go off at the cows who don't want to do as told. i can walk to work with ease, as i live about 1 km from there. my son can play and not have to worry about most things. unless it's snakes, which we don't see many of. i can have lots of pets also.

I live in a more rural area with little noise at all. I prefer the country then the city. The city is to crowded with to much noise and pollution. I think I'm more of a country girl then anything else. I like it when its quiet outside and you don't have to hear all the honking of cars and all the other noises that come with a big city. Living in the country is more relaxing for the soul I believe.

I like the country. The city is much too crowded and noisy. I need my space and quiet. I mean, the country is not really quiet, because there are all kinds of noises of animals and such, but it is a different and more calming sort of noise, in my opinion. I do have friends that can't stand being in the country for very long, though, because they say that it is too boring. They like the hustle and bustle of the city, but I like the more relaxed feeling of the country. Besides, I can always go into the city if I get bored or want a change of pace, but the country is definitely my home.

hello karlie, i would love to return to country life too. i grew up in the country where life's more simpler and more relaxed. where the air is fresher. where there is less traffic and less honking. but i have to work here in the city. i always look forward to going back during the holidays. and i hope i would be able to return for good one day.

I would like to live in a countryside, for its quietness, freshness, simple living and nature, and a little bit of privacy. In the city, people are always busy, always on the go, stress out, it's very hectic.

Hi Karlle I am a real country boy at heart. Depends what you want. I have friends who do not like country living at all! They claim its too quiet?? I know lol. They like everything about city life, some of which I have embraced too...not all of it though. lol I work and live in the city which can be very hectic and tiresome. Things I dislike in the city are peoples rudeness, and traffic jams are a real nightmare. I love it when I return home..it feels like a weight of my shoulders sometimes!! Good post

country living is still nice though due to our work we need to live in the city as we dont have choice to lessen the time and cost going to work. country living is good only if your retired and only want a simple life with those green trees and fresh air.
