Christian Volunteers

Christians from the time of Jesus cares and helps those in need of help in the community as part of their daily life. So you don't have to be a full-time volunteer to be able to help and live your call as a CHristian brother or sister. But serving others in order to convince them to join your church is something else. Nothing is wrong with the act of helping; but something is wrong with the motive. Would you not be helping these people if they will not join you in your church? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I understand when you mentioned "to extend his Kingdom into this world."

I am looking after an invalid husband and do not have time to volunteer. I do help out with the annual supper (where we try to get more people interested in joining the Church) when I can by donating apple sauce. But last year, I could not do more. I usually donate money etc.

Yes, I do. Whatever things you do for God in order to extend his Kingdom is a ministry, even little things. And I do have a ministry on my own, I handle a fund raising in our church. We can't deny that we do really need money in church so that we could do our activities, not only for our own church but for others also. And aside from that I also help out other friends with their ministry,, like the campus ministry wherein Christians would start to penetrate in school, this was lead by my other church member; and True Love Waits, wherein we teach young people about true love. Yeah..and that's about it.
